I remember it but I never watched it. Same. Certainly I remember it, how could you not? This board was recently relabeled "Soap Operas" from "Days of our Lives" and I imagine that's got to be frustrating for fans of other soaps who come here expecting (quite rightly) to be able to discuss other soap operas and finding it populated solely by Days watchers. Wish they hadn't done that.

The real sad thing is that it’s just a few of us left here. I’m bummed that we don’t see Microchip on here anymore. The old IMDB board was quite busy. I’m always happy to see those of you sticking around still loyal to this group. I’ve known you all for many years now.

Yes what has happened to Microchip? I had mentioned before that I had thought about moving to the Daytime Royalty site but some of the posters on there are arrogant and entitled.

I totally agree with you Leafs. The Daytime Royalty definitely has a lot of “in-the-know” wannabes on there. I don’t know what their connection is to the show but they seem entitled. Also I don’t like how all the threads on that board only talk about daily episodes and spoilers of upcoming weeks. I like a variety of topics on the show. The only continuing thread I like to read over there is the casting rumors thread.

There is one poster in particular who is downright rude and condescending to people. It's not very inviting to new posters. I read the casting news as well, and sometimes the social media for the week if there's something going on I want to know about.

I would come home from work at noon and my mom and sister loved it. So I became familiar with Erica and Phoebe Tyler and all the regulars. Lol.

When I was little my mom watched As the World Turns and Guiding Light so I would watch those with her and then when I started watching Days on my own the summer of 1988 and eventually my mom started watching it with me once her shows ended. We never watched AMC, but I knew about a lot of the characters from reading the soap magazines. So many memories we all have of watching soaps with family members

I was too young and too boy to have taken a real interest in it. But it does bring back memories.

I started watching Days in September of 1980. It was my senior year of high school and I got home shortly after 1:00pm. I’d fix myself lunch and sit with my Mom and Grandma as they were watching Days. I’ve been hooked since.
I watched General Hospital for a couple of years in the early to mid eighties with friends in my dorm. I also picked up Texas in its last year, Capitol, One Life to Live, Y & R, Sunset Beach, Santa Barbara, Passions and Bold And The Beautiful at various times. But Sunset Beach was the only one that I watched regularly besides Days. I was disappointed when it got cancelled.

I used to watch Y&R and B&B on and off. Since it was on after school and most of my friends watched Y&R. But never got into GH or OLTL or any of the other shows. My aunt watched Santa Barbara and my grandparents liked watching Y&R.
I really think the only way I will stop watching Days at this point is if it's cancelled lol
