Happy summer to everyone! What are your plans to celebrate the best time of the year?
I'll tell ya what I'm doing......
I'm gonna read a book, from beginning to end, in that order!
I'm gonna learn frolf, not golf, frolf. Frisbee golf....golf with a frisbee!
This is gonna be my time! Time to taste the fruit and let the juices drip down on my chin!
I declare this.....THE SUMMER OF MILLAR!!!!

I went out earlier, just out of the shower, with lovely clean clothes on. And came back twenty minutes later soaked to the skin, with another shower and change of clothes required. It's summer alright!

It's summer alright! Just looked at the extended forecast here until July 5th (they can't even get the next day right most times) - 90 degrees each day.
I'll be longing for late October weather here as soon as July 4th is over.

When it's not pissing down here, it's pretty humid, though nowhere near what you're getting. But a bit too hot for either a decent length run or gardening, which is making me tetchier as time passes.

I went out earlier, just out of the shower, with lovely clean clothes on. And came back twenty minutes later soaked to the skin, with another shower and change of clothes required. It's summer alright! Here in New Orleans the high humidity keeps me wearing wet, sticky clothes all day, til I get home and can freshen up with a shower and some dry clothes. But, I'll still be manning my grill several times a week and I'll be reading many books! Right now I'm reading "Seabiscuit" by Laura Hillenbrand, a fascinating study of thoroughbred horses and the racing world of the 30's & 40's. It features the story of Seabiscuit, one of the most famous horses in history.

I had a few problems swatting at a bug, but other than that, I was okay. I tell ya, I'm feeling something here.... I'm gonna go to a rodeo! I'm gonna stay up all night long! I'm gonna take a big bite out of a hunk of cheese! Why not???

So far so good. Got a bunch of yard work done yesterday, then enjoyed a fine afternoon of relaxation by the pool. Had the in-laws over today for Fathers Day, grilled up a bunch of stuff during another beautiful pool day.

You know, like biting into an apple?

I sacrificed a goat to the old and true gods. Nothing wrong with that, old-school sacrifices should make a comeback. Actually, with our current snowflake culture, human sacrifices MAY actually make a comeback. Anyways, back to the goat....how did he taste? Did you lather him up with some good BBQ sauce?

The powers that be closed the beaches here, yet the locals just kept coming in droves, so they had to re-open them. That's called Freedom, my man! ππππΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈπ¦π¦π¦πππ
