Yeah, Falling Down is probably his best movie. I’m nostalgic for Batman Forever, even if I readily realize its many flaws.

The Lost Boys is my favorite movie of his, and St. Elmo's Fire is a guilty pleasure of mine. R.I.P.

I think I remember Phone Booth being a decent popcorn picture.

It's a shame that many people only remember him for his Batman movies. Falling Down and A Time to Kill are both damn good movies, and I like 8MM, The Lost Boys, and Phone Booth as well.

His career was just never the same after Batman & Robin. Even after apologizing for the film it was like nobody could ever forgive him for it.

I still enjoyed Batman Forever (1995), even Batman & Robin (1997) was somewhat entertaining at the time.
Can't really fault Joel for Warner Bros. pushing an impossible deadline.

"Phantom of the Opera" was a damn fine iteration of the musical/play.
I actually like "The Client" and "A Time to Kill"
And say what you want, "Batman Forever" is better than "Batman Returns" for me. I always thought it was some amazing balance or Burton and the 1966 Batman and Val Kilmer was a great Bruce/Batman.

Very well produced movie and the writing is good, but the directing is inconsistent and the performances aren't effective at all imo. Gerard Butler is especially mediocre. I will give the movie huge props for the masquerade sequence though.

A solid journeyman director responsible for many classics.
