Strictly one syllable, so NO The Band, etc."] Here are the one syllable bands with at least two albums in my music library, sorted in descending order by song count: Artist | CountOfSongs | CountOfAlbums | OZ | 33 | 4 | Lord | 24 | 2 | Rage | 23 | 2 | Sword | 20 | 2 | Haunt | 17 | 2 |

Probably a tie between Cream and Yes.

One syllable bands/artists occupy the 11-14 spots on my "Favorite Music Artists" list: Tool, Bjork, Yes, Prince -- in that order.

I was just going to mention GWAR. Acronym for God What an Awful Racket!
Another that hasn't been mentioned (and probably won't because they are Can-Con (Canadian Content)) = Moist.
They were all the rage in the start of 1994. In fact, they played at a local festival. Then, about a week and a bit later, they had a meet and greet at one of the record stores. I asked them to sign my CD cover in silver pen (because their first album was called Silver).
A couple of days later, my brother borrowed the CD. He gave it back to me, and said, "Someone wrote on the inside of the CD cover, so I erased it."
Smart-ass.
