The Laurence Olivier people who lack common sense and have annoyed me. They even point out the obvious and still complain. The point of the polls was to give people options of what to watch if they haven't seen movies, more than it was about what is the best performance. Obviously the most seen/popular movies are going to get the most votes and I even specifically had people base it on favorite performances rather than best to avoid certain issues. Ironically now I am the one being irrational. I know it, I get extremely frustrated with people and then I overreact. I am just venting at this point.

Screw complainers. The polls should continue, they’re fun and you have put so much work into them.

I didn't think you overeacted until just now when you personally insulted me. And if you think me saying "hey, maaaaybe save your vote if you haven't seen much of the actor's work" is so whiny and irritating, I think you're the only one being irrational. It's not that big a goddamned deal. It's a *discussion* board, so I *discussed* the topic. Sue me.

If people saved their votes if they haven't seen that much (what amount is enough btw?) then there would barely be any votes at all for many of the actors.

Saying someone lacks common sense for their opinion isn't being blunt, it's being a dickhead. If people are just voting for something because it's one of the few they've seen, that's gonna compromise your utilitarianism goal of exposing them to new movies and performances. Just saying.

That is nonsense. My opinion is that your POV is wrong in this case. Many people's opinions lack common sense. That is often what exposes people's lack of common sense. I would think that would be common sense. Maybe I am being a dickhead in this case. I am sometimes an asshole (and sometimes even enjoy it, but I usually don't mean to be an asshole) and I have no problem admitting that. You do the exact same thing sometimes, but you try to hide your asshole attitude behind humor. It shows through. Just saying.

How do you quantity a wrong opinion in this case? It's not that any of us "complainers" are too dumb to realize your threads will get less traction. It's just not our concern. There's your common sense. Hmm. Even if I were a humorous asshole (you may be thinking of someone else), I wouldn't use bluntness as an excuse.
