WOW, I am surprised that the 3rd movie is getting some votes. Michael Myers wasn't even in it! I'm not. It's my own second favourite entry in the series and it has a small but dedicated following. I voted for the 1978 original though. Lovely film. |

Part 1 is the best, and then Part 3. Everything else can go aside from the hillarious opening of Halloween II and the brilliant ending of Halloween IV

This is a hard call, because I like several of them for different reasons. The first is a classic, but I prefer to watch Halloween 2-81'. Halloween 3-82', is unusual and atmospheric and I think H20-98' is a terrific follow up for newer audiences. I also love Rob Zombie's Halloween II-09'. As for the rest, can give or take them.

Just want to say that I can't believe 4 is getting so many votes. Nothing personal against anyone who likes it...but after 2 (excluding 3...which really shouldn't be part of the series), the rest of those movies are really subpar. H20 is decent but it's still not on par with the first movie.

1, 2, and 4 are the only ones I find truly great. The rest range from mediocre to just plain awful.

5 was the first one I saw which got me to watch them so I clicked that one. I remember thinking the laundry chute scene was extremely scary.
I still need to see the producer's cut of 6 at some point.
