They do remember how it ended, right? TEXT: In an interview with Uproxx, producer Douglas Wick stated that the odds of the sequel being created are "more than 50 percent." In fact, prior to the interview, Wick said that he was discussing the film with director Ridley Scott, noting that it was something they were "working on." Wick did point out that doing a sequel for the right reasons was important, as nobody "wants some cynical shadow to make some bucks." screenrant.com/gladiator-2-sequel-possibility-chances-douglas-wick/

This has been talked about for more than 10 years now.
The plot was at one point a Clash of the Titans type fantasy.

If Ridley Scott does this, it has to be a true sequel, set in Rome with maybe Lucius as the main character.
If it's one of those I heard about online where Maximus has to live life over and over again as a general in different time periods in different ways and has to fight Hades in the underworld or whatever at some point before he can go to his family in peace... Then I'm out.
I want another Roman Epic. Hollywood hasn't made a good one in a while. And please use Sets, not 100% CGI backgrounds like 300 or Ben Hur remake.
And I'd even be okay with Russell Crowe coming back as a ghost or as a different character all together. Make him a senator or aging general. Give him white hair and a gray beard.

Eh, I wouldn't be interested. The first movie was good, but I've never found it to be anything special.
