This would count as privilege if they consciously ignored black actresses to give Jenny the role. If that wasn't the case... I mean, it's animation. Seeing a black character on screen is still a form of diversity. Samurai Jack was voiced by a black man and no one complained as far as I remember.

Its getting more and more moronic.
Its animation who cares what skin colour the voice actor has ?

If they are that concerned, shouldn't they get a bi-racial actor to voice to the character then.

Instead of creating a new thread, I thought I'd post this here, since it's the same subject:

Yeah, that's excessive. I recall a similar controversy over the voice actress for Nadine Ross in Uncharted being white, but that outcry went away.

You should hear some of the black characters voiced in the audio books I've heard.

So, it's been posted that Mike Henry has stepped down from voicing Cleveland Brown on Family Guy. This is racial sensitivity taken too far. When it comes to voice acting, the voice actor's skin color doesn't matter; it's the personality in their voice that counts. Patrick Warburton isn't physically disabled, but he can still play Joe Swanson.
Returning back to Mike Henry, they'll hire a black voice actor that can do a good Cleveland impression like this guy:

There is no "off" button for cultural marxism, and it does tend to eat its own (when it isn't eating European culture).
They usually put black characters into something for multicultural signaling, and then eventually as the multiculturalism temp rises, you get attitudes like the immigrant Cambridge professor who says white people don't matter.
The Simpsons made all the black characters smart and successful. The dumbest character is a white hillbilly. Is that character going to be discontinued? Apu was meant to be a message "Don't fear the Indian immigrant.." and what happens--the Indian immigrant gets offended by this attempt to portray them.

The thing about BIG MOUTH and CENTRAL PARK is that they're very recent shows, and Jenny and Kristen were only voicing 1 character. It's much easier to believe it was racist casting compared to THE SIMPSONS and FAMILY GUY, where they hired a handful of actors and they each had to voice several characters. It was probably due to budget reasons, not to prevent people from getting work. Also, those shows have kept mostly the same actors since the beginning, so it feels kind of pointless to do this now. Why not just add new characters so that blacks (and other minorities) can voice them? Will a black actor even want to voice a character already made famous by someone else? Keep in mind that they'll be directed to imitate the original actor for continuity, so they probably won't have the artistic freedom an actor would want. Also-also, F.G. is one of the most politically incorrect shows. After so many years of controversies (Sarah Palin's children possibly being the most infamous one), this is what makes them do a drastic change to the show? Will Mike Henry also not voice Consuela? Will Alex Borstein not voice Tricia Takanawa?

Anyone that doesen’t see it as segregation is crazy!!! This is going to backfire. All the more reason twitter needs to be gone.
Also Mike Henry created Cleveland. Having him not being able to play a character HE CREATED just feels wrong!!! Are whites not gonna be able to write black characters now either? Does anyone not see the problem with this?

Sad.
I thought this was acting.
Pretty soon movies like Star Wars will be sanitized because the actors on the movie weren't real astronauts.

They can all take their wokeness and white guilt and shove it. I am just going to ignore any new and current tv shows from now on because this nonsense is just getting worse by the day.

Aren't there black actors playing white people?
