I bought a box of strawberry cherries at Publix today, I have never heard of them before. I went to buy a few bags of Rainier cherries and the lady in produce convinced me to try them. They are dark red and I usually hate red cherries because cherries like Bing taste like rotten fruit to me. The produce lady said that these are firm and since I'm a Rainier cherry lover, I would like these. She was absolutely right. WKD and I just finished the whole pound that I bought. They are firm and sweet, like the Rainier, they have a very short growing season. Has anyone else tried these? I guess they are a fairly new cherry. (grown in Washington state)
