So I noticed that this is on Disney+. Just gonna say it. It's not that bad. Miles better than Dark Phoenix.* I actually watched it all the way through in one sitting. One of problems that I had is that they went the direction of government weapons and not adventurers. Another is that Reed should have been kinda like Cade in the Transformers movies in that he randomly invents things while he was growing up. They made him smart, but it was localized to the teleporter. Kinda like if something was giving him the knowledge so they could escape the Negative Zone.
In a way, I'd rather see the Trank Cut of this movie way more than the Snyder Cut.*
*Not trying to gibe. Just giving a comparing opinion.

I have this on Blu-Ray because I'm stupid. 😔
I enjoyed it in the cinema for some reason.

It’s a pretty dull and amateurishly put together film. When I first saw the Rotten Tomatoes score, I thought that the critics must’ve been overreacting. Surely it couldn’t be much worse than the Tim Story films? Lo and behold, it was pretty bad. It’s probably the emptiest I’ve ever felt after watching a superhero movie, but I haven’t seen it since it was still in theaters, so I don’t know how I’d react to it on a new viewing.

It sucked. It's pointlessly dark and gritty and the story was butchered by the studio. I would like to see the Trank cut, but I'm not sure how much it would improve on the film.

It's not that bad as long as you don't think of it as a Fantastic Four film. It's still a butchered studio film though. Just call it something else and give all of the characters different names. As an adaptation, it's horrible. A complete misunderstanding of the source material.

I personally found it to be THE worst big-budget film of all time. Seriously, I've never seen a film with $100 million+ budget and didn't have a single redeeming quality whatsoever!

It made the two earlier movies look like masterpieces in comparison.

As an adaptation, it's horrible. A complete misunderstanding of the source material. I think this is what happened. My mind might have went away from what the movie was supposed to be. I might have hated it if my mind kept it to being a F4 movie. But since they only had similar names, I saw it as like a new IP Alien-type sci-fi/horror movie.

It’s pretty shitty. The time jump is the stupidest decision they made in this movie.

The nicest thing I'll say about it, is that it's short. So it didn't waste too much of my time.

It’s pretty shitty. The time jump is the stupidest decision they made in this movie. I understand it, though. It takes out a training montage. But, at the same time, they show them training like they recently started training.

I actually liked Dark Phoenix way better than Fantastic Four (2015). I agree with most of everyone's thoughts on it, but one redeeming quality was the first half which started out pretty promising. It is the second half that tanks the film to which it never recovers. I even felt they ruined Doctor Doom more so than in the Tim Story duology.

I knew Fant4stic would be vindicated one day.
I'll go one step further than saying that the film isn't bad. There are genuinely great aspects of the film, including Tranks, nihilistic take on Doctor Doom. The third act is what sinks it for me. It was devised (and probably written) by a studio executive.
Spectacular miscalculations on audiences' tolerance for diversity and behind-the-scenes turmoil are what Fant4stic will always be remembered for, unfortunately.

Looks like they are slowly adding in the X-men movies. But out of order. Days of Future Past is up. Even though I have it on DVD, I’d rather have X-men first.
