Are you serious? You never open any of your windows for fresh air, or air circulation?

Yes, every day. I learnt the hard way when damp set in and ruined a bunch of books, magazines, dvds etc. Not to mention mould spots appeared on the ceiling and the walls.

Famous last words.... In my last post on this thread I stated......which was true at the time. A couple of hours ago there was a terriffic bang in the street and three or four cop cars appeared on the scene surrounding a civilian car which had smashed into another car parked outside the house opposite mine. It transpires that the cops had been chasing a drunk joy rider who lost control of the car he'd stolen, and smashed it up as said above. He's now slammed up in the local cop shop. A little later more cops arrived on the scene to clean up the mess and remove the damaged vehicles. Most excitement this street has seen for years. OK...I digress...back to open and closed windows.

Just the sliding glass door that leads to the patio from my living room.
Otherwise, I keep curtains on my bedroom window to shade me from the blazing sun. The A/C isn't enough to cool the room without it anyhow.

Yes, mainly for sunlight and fresh air.

I do, now and again but not as much as I would like too. It's too hot, there is too much dust and I have asthma. By the way, your neighbours are weird.

I can understand a single girl on the first floor. Being afraid of an intruder climbing in. But I see couples do that. Single guys do that. People on the second and third floor . . . And the single girls can't even open their curtains, shades or blinds !!! I too think it's so strange.

No i never open the windows here. We live on the side of a main road so the traffic noise is horrendous and will drown out whatever i'm watching or listening to. My wife opens her office window and the bedroom window when i'm not in the room with her but when i go to bed i shut it no matter how hot it is.

Nope, there is no need to where I live when we have the A/C on.
