Love affairs are ruined whenever the spouse learns the truth. The movie LOVE AFFAIR was ruined by a schmaltzy plot, uninspired dialogue and out-of-place musical numbers. Irene Dunne's performance is too over-the-top and she has no chemistry with Charles Boyer.
