Our rooftop grills are still closed (Condo dwellers), We're thinking pork roast (we're getting better at it) bacon wrapped, potato and two veg. we hope the wine will help, only for six. lol
While the roof patio is closed, they will open it for firework watching, social distancing rules to be understood and respected (letter).

Probably gonna go with crabcakes. I live in a no grill apt complex, which really cuts down on options.I did buy a 'smokeless indoor electric' grill a few years ago,the 'smokeless' being filling the bottom with water for drippings. However cleaning it afterwards is a nightmare so I rarely use it. sweet---crabcakes rock! Well, that's been cancelled as we've been invited to cookout for the 4th but they do rock

What kind of sauce do you serve with it...tartar, cocktail? Remoulade is popular with crabcakes where I live. I prefer that. I make it myself.

Taxes are going to have to be on the menu soon. I'll probably just graze whatever I've got. What? Nj? You have taxes to pay? Oh. Are you talking about income taxes? We filed so long ago I forgot. Have you lost more weight? I think I found it SLYGRIN Down about 15. Was going to fire up the grill for lunch (drumsticks and vegetables) but just had cherries and hummus on a rice cracker. No energy after biking 10 miles, but I haven't had energy at all in a while. I sit wayyy too long every day, or am flat on my back.

My 39th wedding anniversary was last week and that's exactly what we had. Ribs with cole slaw! Enjoy divtal! Belated Happy Anniversary enigma!!!! We celebrated our 35th Anniversary on June 18th. I didn't marry until a few weeks before my 36th birthday. We flew to Maui to get married, there was no way I was going to be a bride and go through all that wedding fuss. Some people were angry but we spent our money wisely, we had a nice 2 week vacation in Hawaii, put a down payment on a house and bought a brand new washer and dryer and still had money left. I bought the rings, a set of plain 14K bands from Spiegel for $125.00 for both rings.(remember them). Neither of us remember who proposed or if it we just decided to do it. I guess we are strange. Not to ummm brag, but my husband and I celebrated our 63rd on June 10, OK I'm bragging. Because of the pandemic we couldn't go out for dinner but our son brought us dinner from my favorite Chinese restaurant , and hubby who has always claimed he doesn't like Chinese food enjoyed it so much he wanted to bring it in again.

A local store had T-bones on sale for $4.99 a pound...much cheaper than hamburger!! I got the limit of 3 packages with two in each package, about $10 a package. One for today (it was big enough to share and plenty) and the rest went into the freezer. Also had a great pea salad that tasted really good for a change.

Interesting day.Maybe a dozen people showed.I had a hot dog and a burger while waiting for someone to bring crabs, which I figured would be blue claws....but this girl brought 6 snow crabs and 15 Dungeness.Only 4 folks ate crabs so I ended up eating probably more crab in 3 hours than I ever ate at one sitting in my life.

Taxes are going to have to be on the menu soon. I'll probably just graze whatever I've got. I just did that over the weekend. Give me an extension, and I'll take it. I'm going to do oven ribs, with the sauce that my Dad always used, from The Joy of Cooking.Β And, I'll have a salad or Cole Slaw.Β Β The July 4th is one of the days that I allow myself to pig out on potato chips/dip, so I probably won't be terribly hungry for dinner.Β Β That means left overs on Sunday. I changed my mind divtal. I made country style pork ribs in the oven. You inspired me!
