Face mask pollution... Ohh, that's so sad. It's really sad. I grieve for the turtles and other animals affected by human negligence and dumping of plastics into the ocean. And now we've added more to the list of pollutants we recklessly discard into the habitat of ocean life.

I don't understand. Did you know that in Japan, there are no public trash receptacles? You can walk for blocks and blocks and there's nowhere to dispense of your beverage container; or if you stopped to pick up something to eat, nowhere to throw your wrappers away, yet they don't litter in the streets. They're incredibly clean, and the citizens are very big on hygiene. For an island, they manage quite well. Meanwhile, where we've got things like trash pickup and public trash containers, and public convenience stores, and trash cans at gas stores, we still have people so lazy that they've got to just toss things into the street thoughtlessly with no consideration for where it'll end up.
