Going to do both Katherine and Audrey. The plain one and the gorgeous one, but honestly Katherine is only plain compared to Audrey. She would be pretty compared to most women, I imagine. I may have left out a couple in this case, but think I got the major ones, the early ones, the last ones.

I need to see 'Long Days Journey into Night' one of these days.

The Lion in Winter is one of the best medieval movies ever made.

Where's "Suddenly Last Summer?" She was wonderful in int!
I voted for three. I hate "Bringing Up Baby".

Sorry about Suddenly Last Summer.
This is unexpected to me. I didn't think Philadelphia Story would top out, but who knows. It may win. It does have a charm to it. I thought African Queen and Lion in Winter would battle for the top spot. Maybe this bodes for a derby where favorites run second and third (though I doubt the morning line favorites right now are good enough to hit the board in the Kentucky Derby).

Really truly surprised that THE PHILADELPHIA STORY and BRINGING UP BABY are beating out the two super classics (AFRICAN QUEEN, LION IN WINTER) as of this post.

Also wanted to point out that it's "Katharine." Sorry for being the pedantic nerd.

Philadelphia and Baby still lead over the two classics. Maybe that means there are more people nowadays who like the "safe" movie if it is well executed. The two leaders have an atmosphere of old fashioned elite safety dealing with what most lower class people would find minor problems.
That can give a sense of comfort and safety to those of us not in the elite, although we know we can never join the elite. We feel they can relate to us, or these movies give that impression. At least, that's what I think their appeal is. Personally, I prefer African Queen and Lion in Winter.

Stunned that the long shots PHILADELPHIA STORY and BRINGING UP BABY, two very mediocre movies IMO, won out over the classics, but maybe those two touched people, but the people they touched, I believe are "tetched".
