Seems like it may just be to do some reshoots or new scenes for Snyder’s Justice League cut. However, with HBO Max looking for more programming and subscribers I wonder if they would try to commission a Batman event series with Affleck as the star. They could even let him direct, write and produce like he was supposed to do with his solo Batman film.

More likely than anything, he's just completing certain scenes for the Snyder cut. That'd run the risk of proving unwieldy having multiple Batmen on film at once.

I can’t fathom any scenario where Ben Affleck comes back. Cash. After how much of a bust his past two attempts at breaking into the superhero genre fared, I guess I just can’t imagine him agreeing to come back to the role that began his downward spiral, even if they offered him a lot of money. |
