I was there a few times. The stadium was a horseshoe facing Lake Erie. Even on a warm day you could get a bit of a chill. Hats off to the Browns fans. I cannot imagine sitting in that freezer for 3-4 hours in December

The Dawg Pound was probably in the most comfortable area of the Stadium. That was where the outfield was. Backs to the lake

Backs to the lake Best quote about Municipal Stadium? Well, that came from the great philosopher known as Oil Can Boyd. After a 1986 game between the Sox and the Indians was stopped after 6 innings because of dense fog that totally made play impossible, Oil Can said "That's what happens when you build a stadium right next to the ocean". 🤔

If you check out baseball reference site, and I know you do, he's actually listed as Oil Can Boyd, not Dennis Boyd. That's actually pretty impressive.

The first baseball stadium I ever visited. It was a dump, but it had a certain charm that Progressive Field doesn't have. I liked how it had it's own parking lot, which meant not having to drive around and pay big money for a downtown lot. I also remenber waiting outside the gate and catching the players leaving and nabbing some autographs.

Nobody super famous. Most of the Indians players of the day. Julio Franco, Joe Carter, Cory Snyder, Greg Swindell, Pat Tabler, Andy Allanson, Doug Jones. I know I got some visiting players too, but the only one that I can remember is Gary Gaetti.
