i dont see the hype of the godfawtha films. i cant sit through the first one and i prefer to see things in order for continuity reasons.
only a few remakes are worth their salt -- thomas crown affair for one. cant sit through the original [someone catch this bastard already]
adored the show, not looking forward to THE MANY SAINTS OF NEWARK [sopranos] and its not because jimmy g is gone nor is it his son is playing the younger version of him. just... that ship has sailed and it was perfect for what it is. you cant get season 1's flashback UNCLE JUNIOR OR JOHNNYBOY OR LIVIA anymore [to look like that] so thats it. LET IT DIE ON THE VINE.
casting directors/directors need to understand that likability or respect of the actor also reads into likability of the character. its easy to like pierce bronson. writers and directors need to remember who they are writing and directing... the later two BATMAN movies [from the original four] THE CHARACTERS ARE NOT GAY! SO ENOUGH WITH THE SUIT SHOTS OF BUTTS, CROTCHES AND NIPPLE DISTINCTION!!!

There is no such thing as a scary horror movie. Would you say you have seen the ones that are considered the scariest or most disturbing?

Revenge of the Sith is better than Return of the Jedi Very unpopular opinion, but I totally second this.

I'd rather watch an Ed Wood film that a Christopher Nolan film Comic book movies are formula crap The term "coming of age movie" makes me ill Bogart's performance in Casablanca wouldn't make my top 10 Bogie roles No Best Picture nominated film was "bad"
Movies with an overabundance of CGI should have to be nominated under the "Best Animated film" tag
I feel like nowadays people would accept all of Woods films more. A classic case of a director ahead of his whole era and time as well. Glen or Glenda especially could be seen as having deeply gradiose and insightful ideas pertaining to transgenderism within another era.

The Wicker Man (2006) is intentionally funny. Darkest Hour isn't even one of Gary Oldman's 20 best performances. Didn't both the director and star admit the whole movie was meant to be a comedy?.

Or, they could be more accepting because there's more crap out there and it makes a boatload of money. Gigli, Baby Geniuses, Paul Blart, Mall Cop, Battlefield Earth. All worse than any of Ed's stuff, and all made with a budget that would have made Mr. Wood's angora go up in fire.
And, make no mistake, the films of Edward Wood are in no way "good". Accidentally entertaining with a goofy charm (something other bad directors like Coleman Francis or Ray Dennis Steckler do not have). But they're crap. Seriously, how in the name of Paul and all of the Saints did Ed hear the line "visits, why that would indicate visitors" and not think "maybe I should change that one"?

The Exorcist and A Clockwork Orange are two of the most overrated movies I’ve ever seen. The Shining and A Clockwork Orange maybe (although they don’t suck). The Exorcist is excellent IMO. But I know this isn’t a thread for debating so I respect your opinion 👍

I feel like his movies like Glen or Glenda are intentionally aloof and offbeat though theirs a charm to them that works very well, and Glen or Glenda would fit right at home with most lesser known indie comedies nowadays.

Some people think that was them trying to cover their tracks. Nicolas Cage said it well after the movie was released and bashed.

Gods of Egypt is actually a pretty fun film, and at least something a little different from the dominance of Marvel/DC super hero films. Moonraker is a fun James Bond film (and actually well done) and anyone that believes it is unrealistic hasn't been paying attention to the overall Bond "universe". Platoon isn't a very good Vietnam war movie, let alone an Academy Award winner.

Gary Oldman is one of the worst actors of all time. All of his performances seem like caricatures. Just too much mimicry.
A typical Oldman performance goes like this: put on lots of makeup, speak in a weird voice and make strange faces. There's not even an ounce of subtlety in his acting.
Awful actor.

Hayden Christensen where not as bad in Star Wars as some people claim.
Star Wars are children's movies, but that does not mean that adults' can`t enjoy them. But main target audience for Star Wars are in fact children, both young teenagers and sub-teens.

I hope I didn't already post this one in this thread, but torture porn isn't a thing.
There are horror movies that have torture in them. Torture is really scary. Too scary for most people to handle, so they slap a torture porn lable on it.
Instead of calling these movies torture porn, we should call them horror movies that are actually scary. So scary that you might feel fear or disgust and slap a fake label on them in an effort to dismiss them.
