My native language is Hindi.
I watch more Japanese movies than movies of any other non-English language. I haven't seen a Hindi movie in over 10 years. Watch a lot of European movies so French would probably be no.2, followed by Italian and Swedish.

Apocalypto (Mayan)
Sibel (Turkish and Turkish Whistle Language)
Kedi (Turkish)
Parasite (Korean)
Kedi is the movie about feral cats that live in Istanbul. These cats become well known by the local people.
I’m American-Israeli in Israel.

The Turkish Whistle language is a real language in rural Turkey. In the Sibel movie, the main character lost her ability to speak normally so she whistles all the time. It’s phonetically Turkish, I guess. She uses all the emotion one would use in regular speaking, such as whistling “No” sadly when an old woman asks her as usual if she’s seen the woman’s longlost boyfriend who is gone forever. Her whistles go up at the end for questions. When she whistles “F U!!!”, it’s angry and fierce.

It's in Hindi with subtitles, of course.
We saw this movie awhile back and loved it so much!!!!!
Sorry to hear that Irrfan Khan has passed away.
I think this was his best movie (and I've seen several of his movies).

I really liked Irrfan Khan a lot even though I haven't seen any Indian movie for over 10 years. I think I stopped seeing Indian movies altogether in 2006 as when I moved out of my hometown I never kept any television (on which I generally used to watch Hindi movies in the days when I saw them). If you recommend I can watch The Lunchbox to honour Irrfan Khan who I loved in some Indian TV series way back in the mid 90s.

Yes, I have seen that one but that was on VCR when I was 12 years old or something like that. I think way back in the late 90s. One of the actors in the movie Nana patekar ( Baba Golub character in the movie) used to be one of my favourites.
