. It would make his romance with Nakia pointless anyway. Unless she turns out the villain in BP2.

I know her from Hidden Figures the NASA 1960's African American Math/Computers biopic. Also Welcome to Marwen the story about the artist/illustrator that was beaten down and afterward dealt with the physical (couldn't draw anymore) and mental damage from the attack building dioramas with dolls and taking photos. She seems to exude a certain confidence/self reliance. She also can pull off snobish to which could be transplanted to Royal/Goddess...

Monae's acting ability isn't up to that level yet. She's likely to hand in a two-dimensional version of the character based on a checklist of known attributes. It's the interplay of those attributes that makes Storm such a beloved figure in X-Men lore. She's equally as tough as she is vulnerable. Black Panther had no shortage of strong and diverse female characters. It's not like Coogler needs another Black Woman for Black Panther 2 to boost female representation. The idea that Storm needs to be introduced via some backdoor in Black Panther is also woefully misguided. She doesn't belong in Wakanda, no matter how much the shippers cry out for it. She could EASILY overshadow a character who only recently emerged as a pop culture icon from relative obscurity.

I wasn't really advocating for her just some observations from what limited exposure I've had of her. I know she's also mainly a singer I believe, but that's about it. As for introducing her in BP2 I could see some characters introduced in it, like they've done with other characters like Spidey, but I just can't see how they can do that with the Mutants, plot-wise. If there was a way to explain mutants plotwise, I have no problem with sprinkling in X-men and X-men villians in other MCU movies to build up the idea first. Getting to know some characters well before we get an X-men movie. I just don't know who that should be or how to explain mutants in general. FF you can get away with as they are mutates not mutants. Although I much rather see FF introduce as a multiverse version of them. Like borrowing the fish out of water scenario of Captain America as a way to introduce them more in line with there 60's counter parts. FF to me at least has kind of a campy vibe to it. A family sitcom vibe almost. For it to play maybe pull them out of a world where it's still the 60's and start from there. That way you can play up the goofiness of it and still be in our world. As for X-men I just don't see them glossing over Mutants not being in the world and the world not knowing. For that a lone you just can't have Storm rocking in Wakanda without explaining Mutants first. Unless her being there starts the bread crumbs of why Mutants are a thing now.

There's no real reason to include Storm in the Black Panther sequel other than to satisfy Ororo/T'Challa shippers and so-called fans of the blink-and-you'll-miss-it comic book run where they get married. I don't have any opinion about Monáe or her work (which I've never seen or heard). She seems to be too much of a "personality" to inhabit the role of Ororo Monroe. I'd hate to look at "Storm" in the MCU and constantly think it's just Monáe playing dress-up. I'm also leery of famous figures who want these roles not out of any knowledge or appreciation for the material, but simply because they'd make for a good platform for pseudo-political proselytizing.

Come to think of it I cannot name one piece of art he has made of anyone rumored or confirmed for a character that he has not ever endorsed, not too mention any movie or series their 'friend' is in they praise to the moon and back.

Sadly, what started out as the work of a passionate fan is now a soulless business designed to grab clicks and ingratiate the BL "team" with Hollywood - probably in the hopes of securing lucrative concept art or pre-viz work.
