Here I am again , recounting the wonderful excursions available from all the phantasmagorians
on those crowdfunding sites , plus with my wallet , well somewhat lighter too . So here we go!
You may remember In Search Of Tomorrow - 80's Sci-Fi Documentary . That campaign is still open ,
and of course one of the extras of contributing to their cause , was to also become a member of
their community where you can post and chat with other members , whose interest is also 1980's
sci-fi . And the community is run by connected professionals who will provide up-to-date media .
Of further intrigue then , should be another current specialist Sci-Fi Community , in offering
a dedicated site for fans who need to know the very latest in-depth news , starting with 1990s
science fiction film or series to current , and populated with experts who have access to the
productions and personnel involved . You may have to dig deep , but Welcome to The Companion !
And here's another news item with lots of interest attached to it , for all the readers here !
How many of you are familiar with Space Command ? Oh Sorry not that one ! This Space Command !
Space Command is the work of Marc & Elaine Zicree , both who have been involved in commercial
television series production since 1990 . Space Command is Marc & Elaine's personal project ,
harking back to the tv scifi series of the 1950&60's , with a modern yet classical look , and
is going to be a movie~series . In fact , the first 2 movies are complete and a third is near
to completion (with a fourth in the works) . Well , why don't you check out the first movie ?
Marc gives an introduction , and the movie starts at 2.47 minutes in . If you want to know a
bit more on how to be a part of this , or how you can watch the series , go Here !
One of my favorite pastimes , is reading Sherlock Holmes literature , initially which began by
catching a Sherlock Holmes movie on the television many years ago . I delved into the books but
although they had been recommended to me , I found them difficult to read and to concentrate on
as I was not an involved reader . But the movies intrigued me and as I got older , my mind began
to click into the difficult reading of literature and slowly I began to focus and absorb the con-
tent . By the time I was 30 , I could read all sorts of decorous books , and it was a great hobby
Anyway , with more time under my belt , my mind always went back to the beginning , and my passion
for Sherlock Holmes eventually spread into the world of other Sherlock Holmes writers fiction .
My last read was Sherlock Holmes and The Adventure of the Ruby Elephants by Christopher James (who is an
Literature Academic and Renowned Poet in Britain) . This was a great read , from the viewpoint of
Holme's assistant , Dr John Watson . There are many professional writers who like to dabble in the
world of Holmes , and in many different genres as well , such as Holmes of the paranormal or the
supernatural , and some have provided an alternative Holmes in the unusual categorisations of the
steampunk or futuristic generica . And a meeting place for many of these authors is MxPublishing
run by Steve Emecz . Mx Publishing seems only to sell hardcopy volumes , but Mr Emecz regularly
promotes his company through digital~hardcopies on kickstarter .
Other Holmesian-style books recommended to me -
