As many of you know, there's a rumor that Episodes 7-9 will be erased from canon (maybe using a time-travel method established in the Rebels show). The big question: Do you want this to happen?
I personally don't think this should happen. I don't like the sequel trilogy, but those films exist and it would take more creativity to work from them than it would be to simply erase them.

There wouldn’t be much of a point in that. Even if they retconned the ST, we’re still never going to get the the original cast together again. Still, I wouldn’t particularly care if they did.

What would it do if they did? Make people feel more entitled than they already do? This is the problem with the Snyder Cut. Especially after people been crying about these years. Now people feel they can control the studios and tell them what they want to see and what they want banned like they are the actual owners.

Who cares? Doesn't undo the wasted potential and hype they squandered or give anyone their money back does it? it'll just give some idiots rage fuelled nerd boners so I ask who cares?

I voted yes. I actually liked the first two entries well enough, despite the Empire surviving making the OT feel kinda pointless. But bringing back Palpatine was the last straw. So apparently absolutely nothing was accomplished in the OT, including Darth Vader's entire redemption.
Generally I think removing movies from continuity is tacky and franchises should lay in the beds they make, but we already have one sequel trilogy that was ignored (Thrawn), so why not just have multiple sequel continuities? Like the ending of Clue. "That's one way it could have ended, here's another".

I don't care. They mean nothing to me, yet if ppl like them so be it.
The fact I got the awesome Rogue One movie is worthwhile enough for the venture. That's become my 2nd fav SW behind ANH.

It would make absolutely no sense to erase the sequel trilogy from canon - even with all of it’s plot holes, bad characterizations, and mythos problems. There’s only one exception to that. If they were going to fire Kathleen Kennedy and totally revamp LucasFilm. (Which is very unlikely.) Otherwise it’s pointless.
