I've lived in big cities a few times in my life and I never liked it, despite some conveniences that came with it. I live in a more rural area now and am so glad that I do. PS: I've always thought Cabot Cove looked quite charming, and Jessica is a dear.

Just to stay on message with the thread, I live in San Francisco. It's a "major" city, but not a sprawling one. I love it. ( Trivia about Cabot Cove: I always liked Murder, She Wrote, and I was surprised to learn that it wasn't filmed in Maine. It was shot in Mendocino, CA.. When it was still on the air, I stopped there for a day/overnight stay, on my way to visit friends in Oregon. They weren't shooting, when I was there. However, during filming, some of the cast/crew stayed in the hotel where I was. They had a huge wall of photographs in the lobby. There was also a cafe-bookstore combo that was called [something like] "Jessica's Library." If there were any murders in town, during my stay, I'm happy to say that I didn't know about them. )

I love Miss Marple. I like Hercules Poirot, too, but I prefer the Miss Marple mysteries. The ultimate in cozy. I think I read all Christie's books! That's impressive! Agatha Christie was highly prolific. Do you have your favorite Christie mysteries? I half probably read about half of her books, which tickles me as that means I've a lot to look forward to! (I've only recently become re-interested in AC.) As a matter of fact, it's been a good number of years and with a few exceptions, I can't remember how they turned out, so for many of them it will be like the first time! I'm currently reading "Cat Among the Pigeons". It's solid Agatha. I'm enjoying it. Next I think I'll either read "A Body in the Library" or "The Moving Finger". From memory, I know I especially enjoyed "The ABC Murders", "Funerals are Fatal", "The Mirror Crack'd" and "A Murder is Announced". The last one may be my very favorite. I've often heard that "Endless Night" is excellent. And I know I've never read that one.

By then I've been misled so many times I forget. Murder on the Orient Express might be my favorite. Glad we have this in common!
