..but are in denial (for whatever reason), so they would rather "adjust" their gender / sex instead?
I've heard this argument from some people, and I think it's possible for some of them.
Thoughts?

I think it might go deeper than just being "gay". I would say most TG'd persons who want to be women, yet haven't undergone any surgical procedure and have sex with men, that would technically make them gay. Lady Boys for example, look and act like women, but remain male intact. However, the majority of gay men do love, enjoy and appreciate the gender they are born into. The sexuality aspect of a TG'd person may be more complex, because of the self-loathing aspect they have for the male embodiment they are born into. Their need to drastically alter their bodies surgically to be "pretend" females, can bring up mental disorder issues as well.

No, the other way around actually. There are a lot of effeminate gays and a lot of butch lesbians. If homosexuality is just about attraction to the same sex, then what part of attraction to the same sex involves wanting to emulate the opposite sex in appearance and behavior? ? They must feel like the opposite sex on the inside. Think about it -- what else other than feeling like the opposite sex on the inside would drive someone to want to appear and behave like the opposite sex? These gays and lesbos must actually be transgender.

These gays and lesbos must actually be transgender. There are also a lot of non-effeminate gays and non-butch lesbians. Transgender, IS NOT a sexuality per se. True and genuine homosexuality is about being sexually comfortable with the gender one is born into and familiar with. Being effeminate, masculine or even butch regarding homosexuality, is not so much about wanting to live in a body or gender they're not. Well perhaps butch lesbians wish they were men, but female sexuality operates on a different dynamic to a males. TG, is about the need to alter that physical biological state due to how they feel inside, yet from a corporeal aspect, it only goes skin deep and affects the facade only. They can't expect others to understand how they feel mentally and internally, when most people are accepting and comfortable with the body they are born into. I feel TG'd people suffer from NPD more than anything and a desperate need for attention, due to the lengths and extremities they go too. It is all about the sense of physical "self" and being image conscious. Perhaps male to female TG'd, feel that life would be so much easier being seen as a woman in our Western society, and that they won't have the same expectations placed on them, as opposed to how males are supposed to act and be in society.

If a biological male has sex with another biological male, he's gay. Yeah, I think 99.9% of transgender folks are homosexuals. And I don't give a fuck about these trannies who say they're "straight" because they're a man who thinks he's a woman but has sex with a man. Even if we accept the notion that he is a "woman trapped in a man's body", he's still gay.
