Well, Empire is amazing and Panther is merely pretty good. Yeah, merely pretty good USED to mean not worthy of Best Picture. Something has drastically changed in Hollywood. Merely good movies have always been nominated for Best Picture. Nothing has changed in that regard. Airport (1970) is not a great movie by any stretch of the imagination. |

All are cinemas are closed. Unless there was major spacing, I would not sit beside a strange mouth breather for Empire or Panther.

The Greatest Show on Earth is a fun movie imo, but I agree that it didn't deserve to be nominated for Best Picture. |

Bad and mediocre movies have won Best Picture many times. Black Panther pulled off a chanceless nomination, that’s as far as it went.
