Since yesterday morning I've been having severe pain in my left forearm when I move it certain ways. The pain makes me groan. I think it may be tendonitis. Friday I did some heavy grocery shopping : 9 jugs of litter, 3 24 packs of water and 6 cloth bags filled to the top. My forearm was a little sore on Friday evening and very early Saturday morning. After I changed all the litter boxes early Saturday morning and hefted them into a garbage bin almost as tall as me, I started getting the excruciating pain when I made certain movements. Have any of you experienced something like this? I tried icing it for a while but it didn't make a difference. WKD is laid up with a very bad backache so he can't help me with things and with this pandemic, I can't just go to an immediate care facility. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I am not a doctor and shouldn't be taken as medical advice Could be as simple as a pulled muscle. Carpal tunnel. But WKM it could be a sign of a heart attack. Left arm pain can be serious. wickedkittiesmomGo to webmd or another reputable health site like mayo clinic. If it is getting worse go to a doctor if you suspect heart issues. So sorry Wkm. All my best. HUGS

Thanks enigma, I really think its muscle or nerve pain. I took 2 extra strength Tylenol and put Icy/Hot on the forearm a few hours ago and the pain subsided, I will repeat after lunch. I have no chest pains and no trouble breathing. My doctor will only talk on the phone to his clients because of the pandemic. I'm not sure if the Urgent Care places are open but it seems to be getting better. Sometimes the minor things cause the most pain. I think I overdid it with the groceries and changing the litter. I guess I'm not as strong as I think I am. I have to do the heavy lifting because WKD has a bad back. I'm only 5ft. tall and some things are harder to do when you are short.

That is exactly what I thought WKM Probably strained a muscle yesterday What's that thing? RICE Rest ice compression elevation I wanted to just say that ...but there was that one terrible heart attack option. My shopping trips have been $300 outings. With a mask I am exhausted when I get home. My husband does all the lifting. I can't imagine if he were unable to help like wkd yesterday. Feel better!!

WKM, I know that emergency rooms don't want folks just showing up, because of Covid. But, is there a facility that you can call for advice ... either on where you might go, or what steps you might take to alleviate the pain. Enigma is right that you shouldn't fool around with left arm pain, although with all the heavy lifting, a strain is a good bet. If you call, at least you could talk to someone in the medical field.
I'm thinking good thoughts for you.

The ER only allowed either my husband or myself with her. Since there would be lots of lifting my husband went. Get this: they made me stay in my car to wait. It was hot as you can imagine. 6 hours in a car in the central valley? Guess they are trying to drum up more business. Lol Sometimes the solution to one problem creates others!
