I think a lot of our popular opinions for Spielberg's movies are similar, but like with any other director, I'm sure we have our share of unpopular/controversial opinions as well. What are yours for the movies of Steven Spielberg?

Temple of Doom is awesome!
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull gets too much hate.
Munich is overrated.
The Lost World: Jurassic Park is underrated.
Bridge of Spies and The Post were boring.
Amistad is better than The Color Purple.
The Adventures of Tintin is the best mo-cap movie ever.
War Horse is overwrought horse holocaust porn.
The Terminal is his worst film.
Hook is underappreciated.
The BFG feels more like a Ron Howard movie.

Temple of Doom is great and deserves more love.
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull isn’t that bad. Same with The Lost World.

The Adventures of Tintin might just be one of the most overlooked movies of all time.
I have a feeling it’s because it’s animated/motion capture and people have a hard time taking that stuff seriously, but it’s an absolute blast and almost the perfect mix of classic Spielberg style and more contemporary Spielberg style.

He's one of the all time greats, but everything he's done after Saving Private Ryan has been painfully bad.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull gets too much hate. The Lost World: Jurassic Park is underrated. I enjoyed those films more than most people did too.

Minority Report is better than all the Indiana Jones movies.
Ready Player One is a big disappointing mess.

He should have stopped directing films after Schindler's List.

Jaws is a horror movie.
By 40 year old comedy standards, 1941 is cute and fun.
He directed Poltergeist.
Last Crusade is better than Raiders. Still not big on Temple.
I liked the "I could have saved more" scene.
The Lost World is the worst Jurassic Park film.
Saving Private Ryan is good for the opening Normandy invasion...and then keeps being good. Best war movie of 1998.
Lincoln was boring, The Post was forgettable, and War Horse was horseshit.

The part where I implied it's better than Thin Red Line, or the part where I praised it beyond the opening? It's controversial depending on how snobby the crowd is. On that note, Ready Player One being messy is controversial? That movie was Lamesville.
