Imagine a TV series about a teenage boy (Leo) who discovers that his new stepfather (Davenport) has created bionic superheroes (Chase, Adam & Bree). Leo has the "brilliant" idea of taking them to high school with him without Davenport knowing (how were they enrolled, then?). They cause chaos and when Davenport finds out, he decides to send them away to complete their training. The four are against this because of their strong friendship and because they liked the idea of a normal life. Davenport builds robots that look exactly like them, but Leo is upset because they're not really the same people. Chase, Adam & Bree secretly switch places with the robots and they stay. The truth eventually comes out, but Davenport thinks they should give Leo's initial idea a chance. OK, so you might think I summarized an entire season. Nope. This was the 2-part series premiere. What a weird way to start a show. So much relies on the idea that the characters have developed a deep relationship, even though they just met. By the way, there's a scene were Davenport (not knowing about the switch) electrocutes Chase, Adam & Bree to show Leo that the robots can't feel anything. Leo ends up electrocuting Davenport and... it's never mentioned again! How is he not grounded for life?!

I'm on E2. Bree drops her books because she thinks a cute boy will pick them up. A teacher walks by and slips. Shouldn't he have tripped instead? Also, he gets up and leaves without the things he was carrying.

I'm on E5. Leo says "Did I mention that Wile E. Coyote dies in every episode?" Ummm... No, he doesn't.

I'm on E6. Leo insists that Bree can use her super speed as long as no one is around. She uses it in the empty school hallways a couple of times... but also in the cafeteria! Students are visible in the background!

I'm on E10. Tasha says "We're like BFFs! That means best friends forever." and Bree dryly replies "I know." The joke is supposed to be that the stepmom says something very obvious, but it doesn't work because the stepdaughter isn't a normal teenager. Sure, she's been going to high school for weeks, but there's no reason to assume that she knows everything she should.

I'm on E11. Could anyone be so kind to explain to me... how the everloving fuck can a human survive an accident that killed 3 superheroes?! Also, why couldn't Leo call Janelle instead of standing her up? Do they not have cell phones?

I'm on E12. Leo and Principal Perry discover they have something in common. Leo says "It helps me feel...", he pauses and then they both say "... more in control" simultaneously. Why did he pause? Was it a cue for the actors to know when to say their lines? But the moment loses its impact this way. Sitcoms usually apply the synchronized dialogue trope as a surprise.

I'm on E14. Leo says "I've been saving money to go see my favorite movie." How can it be his favorite if he hasn't seen it? Later, Leo tells Davenport "We shouldn't let anyone know that we saw PIG ZOMBIE 3D"... while wearing T-shirts that say "I survived PIG ZOMBIE 3D"! And don't tell me that was planned as a joke. Sure, Tasha eventually finds Leo's T-shirt, but the previous scene didn't display any self-awareness. Either way, why not take the T-shirts off before entering the house?

I'm on S2E1. Chase throws some kind of energy ball to the sky in order to save Leo. Bree takes a photo and says "I don't know what that was, but I'm putting it on my profile!" But that's evidence of their superpowers. Why would she make that public?! Hell, exposing them is what the supervillain wants!

I'm on E4. A toxic chemical causes Bree to lose control of her body... at school. Just to clarify, this is a show about superheroes trying to keep their powers a secret, right? I didn't imagine that part, correct? Well, why should the audience care about that when none of the students feel suspicious. Sure, she and Leo claim is part of a performance, but there comes a point where it's so obvious neither of them have this under control... and yet no one gets worried and suggests calling an ambulance. That being said, I have to give Kelli Berglund credit, since she seems to be doing most of her stunts without a double.

I'm on E5. When they're at school, Adam asks Bree if she's completely sure that her friend Caitlin saw her using super-speed. Why would he ask that question when he was there when it happened? Yes, the character is dumb, but he's not blind or deaf.
At the end, Adam says that he got Caitlin off his back by helping her realize who her real crush is, and then we see her chasing... well, Chase. So... Can anyone explain to me how a conversation like that goes? Because I think the writer didn't know how to end the episode and he yada-yada'd a lot of details.

I'm on E6. Bree runs home and copies Davenport's voice while talking to Principal Perry on the phone, but she also runs back to the school in order for Perry to believe that she's outside her office. Eventually, Perry hands the phone over to the real Davenport. Ah, so she figured it out. Wait. How did they explain to her that Bree was at home? Perry assumes that Bree's (new) ability is just good imitation skills, but super-speed can't be rationalized.

I'm on E11. Chase, Adam and Bree go back home with the painting that proves Davenport's innocence and then the FBI leaves. Hold on! The agents were very suspicious of Davenport from the beginning due to his attitude and their fears were confirmed when they found the secret elevator and the secret paintings room. One of them asked what was on the bottom floor (which is the lab). Even though he's not guilty of selling fake paintings, they have a valid reason to keep investigating.

I'm on E15. I'm on E11. Could anyone be so kind to explain to me... how the everloving fuck can a human survive an accident that killed 3 superheroes?! Marcus has died in a similar way. Again, how did Leo survive it?!

I'm on E17. I'm just going to take a wild guess that no character will give Janelle a real explanation as to why she's wet... or why Leo's stepsiblings are wearing those supersuits. If that's the case: Come on! Just because it's a sitcom with weekly plots, it doesn't mean that things have to be solved off-screen! That's just lazy!
I don't know about you, but I actually believed Chase was betraying his family. At least when he talked to Douglas. In fact, I feel this idea could've lasted more. The reveal that Chase was always planning to double-cross Douglas resulting in the latter getting trapped (and ending his story arc) could've happened in the next episode.

It was a cute fluff show. I binged it and a few other shows a few years ago. Haven't watched anything on that channel in awhile.

I'm on E23. They're doing the classic "Mom doesn't approve of the son's new girlfriend" routine... except it's with Leo and his grandma. Weird. Also, Janelle isn't Leo's girlfriend. He says that they've known each other for 150 days. The episode starts with them hanging out at his house. Whether that's a date or not, is she ignoring everything that has happened between them in all previous episodes?

I'm on E25. So a senior can graduate in the middle of the school year? And they can get a job at the school within the same week?
