The Pistols really should have kept Glen Matlock (he wrote most of the songs on Bollocks). Who knows what direction they could have gone if they continued into the 80s (though I guess they more or less would have sounded like PiL)

The Rotten/McLaren tension couldn't have kept the band together for long. Bollocks and the Pistols get the rap of being all image, no substance but its a damned good album musically. Matlock, Jones and Cook were very good musicians.
My grandmother's cat can play bass better than Sid Vicious could.

My grandmother's cat can play bass better than Sid Vicious could. Apparently Sid's bass playing was so bad it would get turned off during live concerts (Matlock played on Bollocks). There's even a famous story of Sid wanting to get bass lessons from Lemmy Killmeister: Sid: I can't play bass Lemmy: I know
