I’ve seen Psycho, The Birds, Rear Window, Dial M for Murder , Rope, To Catch a Thief, Vertigo, Saboteur, Lifeboat, North by Northwest, and Shadow of a Doubt. I enjoyed them all except for The Birds which I thought was pretty lame. What other Hitchcock films should I check out

First off: Strangers on a Train (1951)
Then:
The Lady Vanishes (1938)
Notorious (1946; I’m not a huge fan of this one, but it was one of Hitchcock’s own favorites)
Suspicion (1942; underrated, in my opinion)
Frenzy (1972; also underrated, IMO)
The 39 Steps (1935)

Also, with your mention of Saboteur (1942) I have to say it’s probably my favorite lesser-known American-period Hitchcock. I find it more entertaining and better-paced than some more celebrated Hitchcocks (Spellbound and Notorious in particular).

I know it's a remake of one of his own movies, but I prefer this to the original.

Not actually a big fan of the remake; I like Stewart and Day, but I think the movie’s pretty slow-moving in between the major set pieces and get annoyed with how much time the script wastes on the Ambrose Chapel red herring.

Rebecca’s good, but its genre (Gothic romance) and in some ways style are so atypical for Hitchcock that it wouldn’t be my first recommendation for a Hitchcock watch. Still, it is good.

I liked Marnie but I’m not sure many others did.

He has so many movies that are worth watching that the OP should just write 10 of the movies mentioned so far on pieces of paper and pick one from a hat.
