This is truly frightening.
What's even more frightening is this "patchwork" approach and the "feelings" approach, where people are still thinking the virus is a hoax or a partisan issue, or they refuse to do the simplest of measures such as wearing a mask. How easy is that? Wear a mask!
The determination to party and gather in large groups, also while not wearing a mask, the denial. And we wonder why this is spreading?
Yet there's finger pointing...

Autumn I just had an experience I can't believe! My neighbor called to say her alarm was going off could I go look. I rush over there, open the door and encounter a masked housekeeper. I can't believe I didn't grab a mask or take precautions. I was caught in the moment. I HAVE to put my safety ( my daughter's) first. Then the painters had thrown trash in the recycle container. I just reached in. Ugh! No gloves! I really feel stupid. I need to think first.

autumnIt's not even close to truly frightening levels. because seriously, why worry? ; eventually there will be herd immunity once enough people get it. don't let the fear-mongering of the media influence you as they lie and twist the truth constantly. people overlook the fact that your chances of dying from this virus is very small straight up. that speaks volumes regardless of all of the BS the left tries to do to beef up the fear-mongering. also, you ever notice how the media is focusing on 'cases exploding' and not 'deaths'? ; because if deaths are not skyrocketing, which I doubt they will to any significant degree, the virus will eventually play itself out. plus, look at the amount of people who die worldwide in a average year in general... it's in the tens of millions and this COVID-19 is only a small portion of that figure as it's not even cracked 1 million deaths yet as it was closing in on 600k the last I checked worldwide. here is another thing that will make you feel better... On July 7th 2020 episode of the Laura Ingraham show... "We know now that the fatality rate is 0.04% for people under 70. which is less then or equal to seasonal flu for people under 70 years old" - Dr. Scott Atlasso given all of that info, are you really THAT worried over something that only has a small chance to kill you?

People are stubborn fools. If this thins the herd out, so be it.

You say that like people over 70 don't matter. You're also not taking into account that many people are hospitalized for up to 3 months with this virus, on a ventilator. Many people, they are discovering, are also facing long-lasting health problems including neurological problems, including changes in brain function. Permanent lung damage, organ damage, headaches. There's more to this virus than death. Have you read the news? At all?

Meanwhile the Los Angeles teachers' union has a list of demands that must be met or they won't reopen the schools, safety measures? No, demands like defund the police, close all charter schools, Medicare-4-all, somebody has to fund all the illegal kids' healthcare and education, and until all these demands are met, kids can't go back to school. So I guess to quote Alice Cooper, school's out fooooooreeeever!

Well, to be honest, do they?
I will be 74 next month and while I am grateful for all the efforts to keep me alive, I would prefer to see an end to this lock down and the economy restarted so that my children and grandchildren have some sort of future.
There is no cure for this bug and won't be for a couple of years at least. So if you feel a bit queezy take lots of beer and aspirin and leave it to sort itself out. There is nothing the medical profession can do other than that and all this running around dressed up like extras from Carry On Nurse is undignified
