I just saw the 1939/1940 set of Jesse James movies--Jesse James (1039) and the sequel,The Return of Frank James (1940).
Since I am fresh off of those movies, I plan to watch The True Story of Jesse James (1957) soon.
How do these stories differ in emphasis and fidelity to the Jame brothers' lives?

How's this for alternate casting on TRUE STORY: Elvis Presley as 'Jesse' and Joanne Woodward as wife 'Zee' Having watched the original, you'll find a familiarity in two sequences when you see TRUE STORY. They are: on second thought, I really shouldn't ruin the discovery for you to make for yourself
