Finally get to watch a Man U on the telly and the bastards bottle it horribly. De Gea has to be moved on. Greatness starts from the back, and Schmeichel he ain’t.

Fully agree and would add that he is a compulsive fouler and gets away with murder. Ashley Young must have passed on a few tips before he left.

OGS must love De Gea. Not because he's a great keeper, but because he has diverted attention away from OGS' bizarre team selection. If you want to win an FA cup semifinal you don't leave out Pogba, Greenwood, and Martial from your starting XI. I'm sure Frank Lampard told his team about the omissions and suggested it was an arrogantly patronising insult. I hope that ManU misses out on the CL. That should persuade him to get his head out of his arse.

Watching the game yesterday I was beginning to wonder if he rivalled Lovren for spacial awareness! Funny though, I remember watching him in a game years ago when he was a kid at Sheffield United and he really stood out (mind you I guess that was League One) and you could see he was heading to the top. I guess maybe middle of the top is more his level though...

The truly discerning football fan, which is to say me, watched Legia Warsaw-Pogon Szczecin instead.

The truly discerning football fan, which is to say me, watched Legia Warsaw-Pogon Szczecin instead. How do you watch that if your TV only picks up the basic stations? Is it on a website. I watched a bit of it. Having actual fans in the ground makes a real difference. It was followed by a live match from the Danish league which was quite decent .. and had real life fans too - 11,000 of them.

But FreeSports is available on the STV website, somehow. I've enjoyed the Polish footy, it is (you will not be shocked to learn) considerably more skilful than ours, they're much more comfortable on the ball and understand the concept of incisive passing; but lack the real top quality strikers that would see their clubs prosper in Europe. I did consider watching the Danish match, but opted for the cricket instead. I might watch one another day.

Mike Dean has blown up for the last time. It's Arsenal v Chelsea on August 1st in the FA Cup/Heads Up Final. ( MrFurious 8/11 DC) Will do it shortly. They wont be the same odds on Wed night. No fans to moan about team selection, no records to be beaten now, Klopp will give more kids a chance. We're aint doing Utd any favours.
