cooking anything good?
i'm making a protein platter - hamburgers over kale/spinach.
there were whispers that Zach Wheeler may sit out the season due to Covid
was about to type wonder if he hears some boos tonight after signing that huge contract - but forgot there will be no fans in the stands
this is the first time i get to see him pitch - curious to see his stuff.
this is actually good for him - because i'm sure if there were fans in the stands and he got completely lit up - even though it's an exhibition game - he'd here it a bit walking back to the dugout.
risky signing all that money and years for a 29 year old who already had Tommy John - Klentak said he's put our 1-2 punch of Nola/Wheeler up there with anybody - we'll see about that - hope he's right.

In Philly, is anger part of the piped-in crowd noise? Can they actually recreate the sound of bitterness?

I'm working, amigo. I'll just have to bask in the glory of this epic spring(?) training game through this thread.

Curious as to what cardboard cutouts are in the stands.
How about people throwing batteries and snowballs at Santa Claus - like that one Millar

what about designated hecklers for each team?
have this guy mentor them:

wheeler is taller on the mound than i expected - taller than Nola, same height as Arrieta, Eflin is a giant at 6'6
still awaiting word on who the 5th starter is - they just sent prospect spencer howard back down so they could get another year of control over him but he should be back up
thinking the #5 may be between velasquez/pivetta but was hoping they'd be in the pen

awesome - according to reports alec bohm and howard can be called back up relatively early since this is only a 60 game season - at Game 6 - sent back down so the team can gain one more year of control over them financially.
fascinating stuff eh Phillies Nation/Army?

andrew mccutchen? thoughts? glad to see him back.
it's exactly when they took a nosedive last year - when he was lost for the season
leader in the clubhouse. glad to see him back leading off.

this is actually awesome watching a home town team play a game for the first time 4 months. last nights game wasn't televised here. don't care if it's an exhibition and nobody is in the stands - seeing some familiar faces and listening to familiar voices play ball

What's that on his forearm.
Looks like a cheatsheet QB's wear.
