Back in May, I saw two films they made in the 30's, Thin Ice and Second Fiddle. Both were cute and entertaining. I have always heard about Sonja's ice skating, but never saw it. They also dated during that time.

Sonja Henie was pretty much seen as a traitor and a nazi in Norway during World War 2 and after.

I heard about that, but some say it was slander. I also read that her family were wealthy furriers. There are also rumors she had a fling with Joe Louis, the boxer. She was also known to be a tough business woman and loved the party life. There is a recent biopic about her entitled "White Swan". In addition, she was an avid art collector.
In regards to Tyrone, many associated with him stated he had 3 wishes: to have a son, lose his looks and die while performing. It seems like his wishes came true. Furthermore, due to his large African -American fan base during his heyday, hence the popularity of the name Tyrone. Caesar Romero and Don Ameche were some of his pals.

This reminds me , I've never seen a movie with Sonia Henie She was the Bette Davis of skating movies to Vera Hruba Ralston's Mamie Van Doren ..... Hope that helps!  I also believe Liberace claimed that she was the love of his life and he wanted to marry her. |

Wow I never knew Liberace had a thing for Sonja. I heard rumors he was bi. I want to see Sun Valley Serenade. Glenn Miller, Dorothy Dandridge and the Nicholls Brothers are in it.
