Ferris Bueller, fuck that smug, manipulative piece of shit. And why were they villainizing the principal? For doing his job and making sure kids actually go to school?

It’s not a Wonderful Life. It’s actually pretty damn annoying.

The Sound of Music. It’s not a bad movie, but it’s not the movie everyone makes it out to be. Songs really aren’t all that memorable or catchy. The movie is longer than it needs to be.

I could understand where you’re coming from if you’re talking about the first half of the movie, but since you’re talking about the whole movie I’m gonna have to disagree.

Does A Fish Called Wanda count? I just didn’t get the love for this movie. Didn’t think it was all that funny, story wasn’t really all that interesting, but the actors were good. PLEASE SOMEONE EXPLAIN THE LOVE FOR THIS MOVIE!!!

Also Gremlins. Never got the love for this movie. I must have missed what people liked about it cause I couldn’t stand it. Apparently the 2nd is much better if I’m correct, but I don’t care cause I hated the first.

"Can't stand" is a tad strong, but The Breakfast Club, another bunch of smug fucks

"Cant't stand" is a tad strong, but The Breakfast Club, another bunch of smug fucks I think it’s a little overrated, but certainly not bad. Also I think you’re not supposed to like the characters. They only kinda redeemed themselves at the end.

They only kinda redeemed themselves at the end. Eh, maybe. Either way I didn't find it enjoyable, clever, funny, poignant, telling or whatever it was supposed to be.

With me, it is more a question of "can't watch" rather than "can't stand". There are several movies, recommended by people whose taste I trust, that I cannot just get into after two or three attempts, such as:
Welcome to the Dollhouse (1995) dir: Todd Solondz
Under the Skin (2014) dir: Jonathan Glazer
Trainspotting (1996) dir: Danny Boyle
The Lion in Winter (1968) dir: Anthony Harvey
Short Cuts (1993) dir: Robert Altman
Requiem for a Dream (Dir Cut) (2000) dir: Darren Aronofsky
Heathers (1998) dir: Michael Lehmann
Call Me by Your Name (2017) dir: Luca Guadagnino
Blue Valentine (2010) dir: Derek Cianfrance
Not sure how many of the above you consider "classics" but they are all acclaimed and serious movies I would be expected to like. In many cases I have enjoyed other films by the same directors. There are plenty more that I cannot call to mind just now. They are a varied batch, but in each case I have not got the patience to watch them, and reach for the "eject" button on my control.
Things can change with time. I was very disappointed with Night Moves (1975) dir: Arthur Penn. I liked it more on second viewing, and watched it a third time the other night and thoroughly enjoyed it. That's a different situation though. I was able to watch all through first time, just felt "cheated' thereafter (because I had the wrong expectations), whereas the above titles just irritate me to watch for various reasons and I have never got past halfway at best.

I agree with you on Requiem for a dream. I kept hearing great things about it. I had no idea the movie was about drugs. I can’t stand movies about them. This movie was no different.
