When Thanos got the reality stone in Infinity War, I remember thinking the rest of the movie should have been a musical.
Just imagine this but with the Avengers...

In what form? Are you asking if Avengers 5 or 6 will have people bursting into song or if they'd attempt a stage musical like Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark? Neither scenario seems likely but it's good to know.

Yes.
I’ve actually been predicting it for a while now, and… Yes, I seriously do think Disney will do something like an MCU musical, even if it’s just at Disney parks and not on Broadway, especially in light of all the song numbers that keep popping up in MCU movies and shows (“The Star-Spangled Man,” “Make Way for Tomorrow,” “Whatcha Gonna Do [It’s Up to You]”). Do I want it? No, not at all, but that’s a different question.
I just hope that if they do it it’s as good as it can be; the only two superhero musicals I can think of, It’s a Bird…It’s a Plane…It’s Superman (1966) and the star-crossed Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark (2010), flopped miserably, and deservedly so (though Superman actually has some pretty great songs).
At Knowhere, I wrote a rudimentary outline for the book once, and I’m still kinda fond of it:

A song I wrote in January popped into my head this morning, and it made me want to share the lyric here.
On a different forum, I was spitballing ideas for the worst musical ever, and one that came to mind is adapting Watchmen. And then when I thought about it more it’s not really the worst ever idea of a musical, if only because Alan Moore is such a Brecht/Weill fan and his work has some of that ballad opera sensibility. But the idea still makes no sense.
Anyway, here’s my lyric for Rorschach to sing, based on the character’s Pagliacci monologue. I wish I could post the tune here; as with all song lyrics, it only really works with the music. Still:Looking it over now… Y’know, it’s not that bad a lyric. I like the unrhymed last verses and the fitting forcedness of “ha ha ha ha ha ha haha.”
The line that most needs fixing is “You’ll dance the mariachi,” in which the doctor is trying to say the patient will dance like he’s dancing to mariachi music. But I never fixed the line because, again, making a musical of Watchmen is a terrible idea. Intriguing, but terrible.
And what does this have to do with the MCU? Well, um, I’ll show myself out. Curtains for clown Pagliacci indeed.

SAME. NOT everything should become a musical or stage play... That Superman play from the 1970s proved that. Gus Gorman re-confirmed that belief as well in Superman III... We want to see Superman Flying and using his heat vision and lifting cars, and so on... You can't do that stuff on a theater stage. And... Superman, as well as the Avengers, singing and dancing? Puke.

Puke. 1966, and I think (contra myself in 2020) that’s a pretty great show. Funny book, good score, with one now-classic song (“You’ve Got Possibilities”)—who, to quote a different theater songwriter, could ask for anything more? All that said, I do not think an Avengers musical is a good idea.

Does the in-universe musical in the Hawkeye show count?
