just finished the second season. i really loved the first season. the second season was “ok” but got too influanced by all the liberal topics they wanted to cram in. too bad… we get it. men are bad. straight man are worse. straight white men are the worstest. yeah. move on now. everybody gets it. no need to keep spoiling shows and films by this “imporant announcement” forever.

I've seen my scene where I shook Steve Carrel's hand and snuck in a line when I was supposed to be quiet. Otherwise, no.

I read an interesting thread about being an extra or "atmosphere"... Used to know a young guy who was an extra on several shows. (R.I.P.) The director just said whatever and moved on. Though I have been yelled at, directly and indirectly. Once because I snapped a pic of Will Farrell and Amy Poehler (I was kinda new). On some high school show the extras were talking too much between takes so an AD yelled "Shut the fuck up!" An AD also yelled at all of the extras on Jason Bourne but I forgot why. I think because a few were late that day, but it was like the third week of us having to be on the Vegas strip at 6am and working 16 hour days. There definitely is an "atmosphere". You're treated like cattle and you feel palpable contempt from people having to work with you, like you're some sheep-fucking peasant who's been let into the castle for the day. On some you get bodyscanned for weapons. One of my favorite experiences was working with Billy Zane, just because the guy talked to me like I was a person.

Yeah pretty much the gist from that thread...Lots of waiting around in not so fun conditions. Not glamorous at all despite maybe talking to an actor for a second. "Atmosphere" was a term for background extras. As in "Hey Atmosphere! Gtfo the way!!" Makes me miss my Friend who did it for awhile... Gone too soon.
