I preferred it when Michael Stewart and Steven Thompson were the talking heads as I got the impression they hated each other! I never listen to the chat, and never will. The only thing I'd say that, unlike MOTD, Sportscene doesn't act as a propaganda arm of the British state. Which is a small mercy. You jest, surely?!

Does this season feature Heart of Midlothian? I don't know when I will read the book but it is 3rd in my reading queue. They were relegated from the top flight after it finished early .. on an average points per game basis. They were not happy about it and took legal action. They lost though.

Celtic draw Reykjavik in Champions League first qualifying round
Celtic played Reykjavik at Murrayfield in 2014 after their ground was used for the Commonwealth Games Celtic will face KR Reykjavik in the Champions League first qualifying round on 18 or 19 August.
Neil Lennon's seeded side were drawn as the home team in Nyon, with ties at this stage of the tournament played as one-off matches.
Northern Ireland's Linfield or Drita, who meet in Tuesday's one-legged preliminary round, will meet Legia Warsaw in the first qualifying round.
Wales' Connah's Quay Nomads are at home to Sarajevo of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Meanwhile, the Republic of Ireland's Dundalk visit Celje of Slovenia.
The draw for the second qualifying round will take place on Monday.
Who awaits Scottish sides in Europe?
The second and third qualifying rounds will also be one-legged ties and the play-off round will be two-legged.
Having already beaten Tre Fiori of San Marino in their preliminary round semi-final, Linfield face Drita of Kosovo on Tuesday.
With Celtic being seeded for the second round, they will avoid a potential match-up with Linfield, Legia Warsaw, Molde, Astana, or Qarabag, each of whom they have faced in recent European competition.
Romanian champions Cluj, who they played in both the Champions League and Europa League last season, are among the possible opponents along with Dundalk and Connah's Quay.
Lithuania's Suduva, who Celtic defeated in a Europa League play-off two years ago, and Denmark's Midtjylland, who lost to Rangers last season, are also potential opponents.
Celtic last played Reykjavik in 2014, Ronny Deila's first matches as manager of the Glasgow side, and won the Champions League qualifier 5-0 on aggregate.
The Scottish side last reached the group stage of the competition under Brendan Rodgers in 2017-18, finishing third in their section and entering the Europa League last 32.
Lennon twice led Celtic to the group stage during his first spell as manager, reaching the last 16 in season 2012-13.

Mr Yousaf said the player's actions could have major consequences for top flight football, which only resumed in Scotland on 1 August.
He tweeted: "Utterly unacceptable from Bolingoli. With a number of incidents, Scot Govt left with little choice but to consider whether pause is now needed in resumption of the game.
"Operational matter for Border Force & Police Scot, I support whatever enforcement action they deem necessary."
The Scottish government said it was in discussion with the club and football governing bodies to establish the facts.
"If confirmed as another serious incident within Scottish football, where protocols have been breached at the risk of wider public health, then the Scottish government will have little choice but to consider whether a pause is now needed in the resumption of the game in Scotland," they added.

Celtic and Aberdeen games off after Covid breaches Celtic and Aberdeen's matches are to be called off this week after their players broke lockdown rules, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said. Celtic defender Boli Bolingoli flew to Spain without the club's knowledge, failed to quarantine, then played in Sunday's match against Kilmarnock. Ms Sturgeon said this was a "flagrant breach" of the guidelines. The previous weekend eight Aberdeen players broke lockdown regulations by visiting a bar together. Ms Surgeon told her daily briefing that fans "should not be expecting to see Aberdeen or Celtic play in the coming week." www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-53736447

She also warned this should be seen as a "Yellow Card". Lennon said the team looked unfit after the Hamilton game, so why did he give them four days off?

He doesn't always know what he is doing. He does the things he thinks top managers do, so that he can feel like one of them. Not a lot of originality

Celtic spend £5m on Hammers dud. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53755841Switzerland striker Albian Ajeti has signed for Celtic in a £4.5m transfer from West Ham United intent on forming a partnership with Odsonne Edouard. The 23-year-old has agreed a four-year contract with the Scottish champions after making 12 appearances without scoring in a year with the Hammers. Ajeti is an admirer of Edouard, who scored 51 goals over two seasons. "He's scored a lot of goals and I think me and him will be a good match together," he said. Scottish Premiership ins & outs Ajeti joined West Ham for £8m from Basel, for whom he scored 30 goals in two seasons. He made only three starts in cup competitions and nine substitute appearances in the English Premier League but stressed: "I'm a hard-working player. I score goals, this is what I do. I'm a strong striker, I love the contact. "I don't have any problem playing in a two or a three or on my own. I've played in many different systems. The most important thing is to attack and that's why this is the perfect club for me." Ajeti, who has 10 caps for his country, came through the youth ranks at Basel but had spells with Augsburg in Germany's top flight and Swiss Super League rivals St Gallen before a transfer back to St Jakob-Park in 2017. He played there alongside Mohamed Elyounoussi, the winger who has returned to Glasgow for a second loan spell from Southampton, and he was encouraged to sign for Celtic by his former team-mate. With Celtic chasing an historic 10th successive league title and a return to the Champions League, Ajeti added: "I know how important this season is for Celtic, for the fans and the whole club. "There is a long way to go, but the team has the quality to reach this goal at the end of the season. "There is not a player in the world that doesn't want to play Champions League." Welcoming Ajeti to the club, Celtic manager Neil Lennon told his club website that he had "admired him for a long time". "He is a tremendous player with real quality," he added. "He's a really intelligent footballer - well balanced and a really good finisher."

You know nothing about Hibbs and Scottish football. Hibbs got pasted by Celtic a week or two ago. It was a friendly but Hibbs fans take all games seriously. All Games Matter!

More money pissed up against a wall by Celtic: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53792435Ukraine winger Marian Shved has left Celtic without making a first-team start to join Belgian side KV Mechelen on a season-long loan. The 23-year-old scored once in three appearances off the bench last term. Shved signed for the Scottish champions from Karpaty Lviv in January 2019 for a reported £2m, but was immediately loaned back to the Ukrainian side for the rest of the campaign. Mechelen say they have the option to buy the two-cap international.
