New series on The Athletic.com. Hope they update it better that Baseball's greatest Moments
#40 - The Miracle Minute. Duke v. Maryland 2001
(The audio cuts out, then back in. Way to go, ESPN!). Duke won in OT, btw
Damn, that duke team was loaded. Williams, Chris Duhon, Shane Battier, Mike Dunleavy, Carlos Boozer. Lost four games, three by a grand total of five points (Maryland blew them out in the rematch in Cameron).
I'll keep y'all updated

I remember watching that game. Worth noting Duke would go on to win the title that year, while Maryland would win it all the following season.

#1 has to be the bills/oilers playoff game Of course, if limited to just single games.
2004 Red Sox if not
EDIT: The pictures they have on the header show the 2004 Red Sox celebrating.
Also Tiger Woods, Mario Lemieux, Tom Brady and Monica Seles

2010
Flyers down 3 games to none vs. the Bruins.
They come back to tie it at 3 games a piece.
Game 7 - they're down 3-0 in the 1st period.
Came back to win the game - hence winning the series
So....pretty much all those series where a team is down 3-0 and come back to win the series 4-3.
Wasn't Sox/Yanks another one - Sox WS year or am I off?

Of course the Sox also had the weight of 86 years of misery and the unparalleled success of their hated rivals over that time to overcome. It's the greatest sports story in history as far as I'm concerned.

I wonder if this list includes any sports outside of North America. There are a couple of famous cricket ones (which I don’t expect), but 2 UEFA Champions League finals comebacks of some note, one by Man Utd, another Liverpool.

It is one of the funniest commentaries you're ever going to hear. To me, a comeback isn't a comeback unless you actually win. Anyone can comeback and take a late lead. There's no stat for 'we were down big, almost won but still lost.' Seems like a jimanchower statistic. Do the Plano East team members brag about that game to anyone? "Did I ever tell you about the game we almost won?" I'd be embarrassed that we couldn't cover the kickoff after all that. I'd be embarrassed we were too dumb to squib it.

Then why are we counting MLB's orchestrated Red Sox win over the Yankees in 2004?
