Looks flashier in its visuals than the grimy first film.

It does. The first sold the shot-on-film, grainy, sleazy aesthetic pretty well. There's a chance this will do the same but that the footage isn't entirely finished yet.
I kind of enjoyed the first one. There's not much to it, but it's well made for the sort of trash slasher thing it's going for. The issue with sequelizing it is that it doesn't really make any sense. I'll be interested to see how he makes the story and character work. I don't know how long I'll be interested in just not explaining what the fuck this guy is supposed to be.

So that's where that guy comes from. That's the first I heard of this movies, but I have to say that's an amazing design for an evil clown.

The first is one of the most unsettling movies I’ve seen.
I’ll probably check this out.

Only a little bit better looking, but more or less the same. I’m interested in this one.

It still looks cheap, but I just wasn’t expecting the striking colour plateau. I don’t remember the original having those sort of compositions like the scene when Art’s shadowy figure walks into the building dropping his bag. I guess they’re trying to change things up a bit and I wonder if they’re ever outdo the hacksaw scene from the first film. Yeah, they might be stretching it by doing this as a trilogy if they don’t add to the formula, but it would be interesting to see where they go with Art the Clown. Such a disturbing, yet captivating presence. Or it might head in the direction of the Hatchet films?
