marshamae I like the idea of PMing the answer sheets ...it's those darn partials that throw a wrench into the mix. Eliminating the time factor would remove some of the frustration of "correct but your computer is too darn slow !" aspect. With the lady who did the photo quiz.... If I remember correctly .. she PMd you back and told you which ones needed correcting. I think you had about a week to finish the quiz. Final answers were available upon request, and not publicaly posted, so late comers could play too. Memory may have failed on this but that's what I recall. Might something along this line work ?

Good points Bat. I remember those photo games. They were incredibly hard. I felt like the pm thing made it sooooo slooow.

I liked them because you had time to actually look for and maybe find answers without the pressure of having a DOS era speed connection. I didn't do all that well in them since a lot of it was "modern" films but it was fun. The "hostess" was not on line all that regularly so entry and gradings were delayed. I don't think she made the move here .

Btw. I do not for a minute suppose that we are coming up with anything the game master has not considered. All I hope is to bring group energy to bear in the hopes that regular gamers will reach a consensus on some format they are willing to try.
Maybe at some point Matt will feel well enough to give it a go, or anoint someone else to try.
Or maybe this has soured him on the whole idea and we just need to let it go.

There's the Dozens and other games BUT they just are not the same ... BUT they are good ways to pass the time when a concentrated game session is not available. In dozens, there are pages and pages of Threads just waiting to be revived ! The posted rules are outdated as far as specifics but as general instructions, they work ! In "Other Games" there are several games with pictures and the StarTrek quotes is great ! anyway ... hopefully things will work out. Meanwhile, The Guest Host games here seemed popular

I'm disappointed to hear about this turn of events, Matt. I know how much work you've put into your games over the years. As I've told you in the past, I don't feel I can do the games justice because my eyeballs can't deal with the pounding they'd take if I spent the time Googling or otherwise researching all the possible answers, so for that reason, I've opted out. As such, it's rather distressing to hear that somebody has found a way to cheat and bypass the hard work required to get the right answers. That's just not cricket!
I do hope you will continue with the games, though, even if you have to slow the pace down and create "unique" games each and every time (that don't have the answers archived somewhere). The show must go on!
I understand about health issues, though. Do what you must! If you must take a hiatus from the games, we will all understand perfectly, and support your decision on that score.

As with many others here I hope the games will continue in one way or another, even if they become rarer and more exclusive. It's up to QM to decide.
I still can't get around the "why?". There is no point in cheating in these innocent games that is only made to entertain and thrill us for a few hours, or in some cases a few days, since there is only imaginary prizes, not any actual prizes.
As this thread shows, QM has many friends and supporters here, me included.

I agree Télé. I can’t imagine what the payload is. This person creates many accounts, easy of which has to be anchored to a separate email. Then he posts thread after thread where he posts completed Garth games, discusses Garth games, posts scurrilous criticism of TGE Games and Garth, creating conversations with 5-6 people. All for the pleasure of disrupting.

Thanks so much for your very kind words, Zolo. They arrived just in time to lift my spirits just when it was needed most. Still disappointed that you could not join in -- but glad to know you do look in occasionally.

Players have forced me to make an adjustment -- make that 'July Report Delayed'.
