I appreciate the suggestions, BATouttaheck and TheGoodMan19 I have not seen those two. In fact, aside from those posted above, I haven't seen any others! BEST you remedy that my semi-fishy friend ! and look for Lillian Gish in Broken Blossoms while you are at it ! You have made some great choices already and it's nice that you are sharing your experience !

@forceghostackbar have you seen Keaton's The General yet ? For a change of pace ... adventure, comedy, a little romance even. Greed - my all time favorite Pandora’s Box - my all time favorite silent performance, Louise Brooks Sunrise a Song of Two Humans

I may change course here though after one of two more. I'm getting a bit burned out on the silents right now.

TheGoodMan19 I saw Greed ages and ages ago and .the other two have not seen ... yet ! Both Sunrise and Pandora came at the end of the Silent Era. Sunrise won one of the two Best Picture Oscars in the first year and I think was better than Wings. No intertitles (the written cards in between scenes). Brooks was so amazing in Pandora and the ending is so amazing. I do love the Silents. Heartbreaking to think of all the silents that are lost forever

I thought this 1924 version was so much better than the more popular 1940 version. The 1940 version was a bit cartoonish. This version was more menacing, also featured the great Anna May Wong. Agreed. I hated the 40s version. Very few silent films are better than the sound remake. This was one of them. Charles Heston's Ben-Hur is an iconic movie, but I thought the original silent starring Ramon Novarro was even more intense with an even better story flow.
