I do not believe that in the second decade of the 21st century we still have individuals discussing the baneful effects of 'witchcraft spells' upon unwitting victims as though this were a reality. I assume we will next have the topic introduced of how best to placate the wee folk living at the bottom of one's garden so as to avoid their evil influences, and discussed with all the solemnity of which remedies work best for ridding oneself of cancer or one's lawn of weeds.
As to the opening meme, if one has a mind disposed towards viewing obvious and blatant virtues in the light of anything other than common sense, basic decency, and intelligence developed beyond the point of being a human fungi, one may as well count themselves a lost cause. If one insists upon seeing these traits in the sense of practicing 'witchcraft', one is well on the path to being declared certifiable.
I would assume the meme is intended to be ironic. Unless of course it is the product of a Christian Fundie, in which case it might be intended with dead seriousness.

I don't know any Witches that poison people with herbs. Witches create and perform spells. They might take into account the phase of the moon. They might write an incantation or chant to recite. They're probably using your picture along with some other pretty gross things. They're putting their full intent and all of their anger into the spell. And they might petition deities or demons for help. That's if they dabble in dark magic, which I believe the majority do not. That type of witch might outnumber the thoroughly evil ones by many times over, but I suspect the truly evil ones do exist.

(central to the Wiccan "Rede") is a sensible enough rule that far and away most people might agree is a good rule. "But I wasn't bothering anybody" is likewise a common defense. The devil is in the details though. Where people do not agree is what is "harming" others. Plainspoken folk such as yourself might think religion is harmful. Other people might think it is harmful for a child to have no present, supportive and guiding father. On and on it goes. You've already chosen to ignore the harms that might spring from the good intentions of bumbling idiots.

And I wouldn’t care what you believe, but you Christians have history of hanging and burning people alive for sins but who were actually innocent. As such, there’s no recorded proof that any human being has effectively used magic to harm anyone or that accused was even a witch. However the Church actually brags about murdering men and women...mostly women...for something they couldn’t even prove existed. As such I do not want folks who believe witches are harming people and a danger to society running our government because they just might start executing people for their sins again.

We have amongst us the presence of Arlon to demonstrate that exposure to said pig's swill has resulted in his belief that witches walk in our midst, doing witchly deeds. Small wonder he opines elsewhere that scientists are 'going out of business'. Actually, he has quite a lot of colorful opinions regarding science v. religion, as this thread amply demonstrates: IMDB2.freeforums.net/thread/235642/school-cancels-bible-class-interest

You really are such an annoying, whiny little brat. There are evil people. It matters little whether there is really a Satan or whatever you mean by magic. If they consider themselves "worshipers" or whatever of Satan, then they I might call them witches for lack of a better term. And they might do evil things.

There are evil people but not because the mythological Satan has anything to with it. Humans beings do just fine in destroying each other and the planet. What people are worshipping is a reflection of themselves. Just like most so-call Christians worship a god that always seems to agree with their particular petty hatreds and political views. That’s why people hate religion. It’s got nothing to do with God if it exists. You set a bad example too.

Your "one-size-fits-all" analysis of everything is not suited to a person as educated as you claim to be. Very good people lead very rich and civically responsible lives because of their religion. Science does have some cool tricks from time to time. However yes, some people are problematic in the name of religion. Then too far more people are problematic in the name of science.

It is not a one-size-fits-all analysis. I’m talking about the “Christians” (these are mostly fundamentalist White Evangelicals) who still think Trump is not about as evil as one can be and not be locked up in jail; ignore his well demonstrated, abysmal lack of a moral compass; that he conned his way in the White House posing as the Savior of Christian America and lying about being a believer himself; and that like 85% of these “Christians” still support him to the point of the State Worship you right wingers fret about liberals doing...yet we never have. And it’s not about science vs religion. Most non fundamentalist Christians have no problem with it including evolution. Science does not tell anyone how to lead a moral life. That’s not its job. And it is job of the churches to do that and to stay out of science. The Creation myth does not have to be literal for Jesus’ teachings to be valid. You just don’t realize that the rest of America is finally feed up with Jerry Falwell and all the other grifter preachers and their fucked up theology. Good riddance. Maybe then real Christianity can get a word in without your preachers sucking up all the oxygen.

He is giving Democrats every opportunity to stand up on their own feet. I don't believe he wanted to be president this term and doesn't want to be president next term either. Yet the Democrats are such bungling idiots he might win anyway, again.

Is that why he keeps insisting on doing rallies even during the Corona epidemic and catching the virus could easily kill someone his age? "Yet the Democrats are such bungling idiots he might win anyway, again. " What exactly are they doing that could cause Trump to win? If anything, they're doing the smartest strategy possible (don't let Biden talk).

If anything, they're doing the smartest strategy possible (don't let Biden talk). Rallies are more heat than light, hadn't you noticed? Nothing Democrats have ever said about anything before the pandemic made any sense. It was "lucky" for them in some bizarre sense. The pandemic is not really bolstering confidence in "science." Most people do turn to "experts" in an emergency and that includes myself. They aren't really that expert though, rather obviously. The timing is suspicious with no relief expected until about a month after the election. With the data so far quite a lot of people do not know anyone who died from covid-19 or got unusually sick. If the reports of deaths continue too long and they still don't know any victims the suspicion will get really strong and more justified. You got one thing right, Biden shouldn't say much. It would only hurt his chances of winning.
