I cannot sleep in the summer time. I was frying like a breaded squid last night.
Oh how I long to one day live in a place with AC!

Oh how I long to one day live in a place with AC! There's plenty of room at the inn. Please feel free to lather on some condiments, er... I mean lotion.

Get yourself some Bed Buddies, pop them in the freezer, and put them on your neck.

Can you purchase a small room size AC? They're not terribly expensive. I can't sleep in the heat either. My sincerely sympathy.

I know they're a little pricey.

What about the generations of Ackbars who lived in pre-AC times? How did they stand it?

Have you tried one of these? I've got an aquarium full of them!

Maybe you should arrange to go for a visit for the remainder of the month? I've been banned from the Pacific Ocean. Long story. I'd live in the Atlantic but the rent is too high.

I just have a ceiling fan. If I'm tired, I will sleep and one doesn't need blankets in a hot summertime. Depends on how hot it is. If it's anything like it is here, a ceiling fan (which I have) does nothing. Thankfully, the electricity doesn't go out as much as it used to, but I still remember many sleepless nights.

Thankfully, the electricity doesn't go out as much as it used to, but I still remember many sleepless nights. I live subtropical climate, so even winter isn't that freezing and am acclimatised. It still swelters though and in my current residence, my bedroom windows face west so it becomes like a sauna in summer afternoon. If you don't mind me asking, where do you live? Tropical heat is awful for the humidity. We have high humidity here too, so I much prefer the dry heat.

The worst thing though is getting into a hot car that hasn't had any shade. The steering wheel is sometimes even too hot to touch. I know how that feels. Once it was so hot here that cars started breaking down from overheating. In desert areas the heat can get extremely high, but they don't have a high humidity count. I much prefer those places to where I am living now.
