Do you have any fans? I use 3 fans. 4 counting the ceiling fan. I have a floor fan that sits on the right side of my bed blowing up at me. I have a standing fan on the left side of my bed blowing directly on my torso, and a small fan on my nightstand blowing directly on my face.

I find it very hard to sleep with it though. Not because of the noise but because of the constant feeling of breeze on me. It's hard to get used to when I'm trying to sleep for some reason.

Yes! Brilliant advice! I know it’s brilliant because it’s what I learned to do in the time since that post! I now use a fan every night in the summer time while covered with a super thin sheet. Or did you mean to cover the fan with the sheet?

That’s what I was sure you meant- then I thought, hang on, covering the fan might be an even more BRILLIANT trick I haven’t considered. But no, that would make no sense.

There is some cooling thing about a damp cloth that the fan blows through but it was the breeze itself that you said you were bothered by so covering the fan would not have been the solution. Hope the temps there have lowered some ... at least at night ! Was cool enuf for a nice little outdoor fire the other nite ... mit der marshmallows !

I cannot sleep in the summer time. I was frying like a breaded squid last night.

Thankfully I moved since then, so no more hand crank windows! Still no A/C though. I really should invest in it.
