Actually a pretty solid choice. He doesn't have all that much to do, but he makes the character pretty intimidating and plays it straight and scary considering the movie. He had his agenda and nothing was going to stop him. Plus he called the kid a bitch too. He was a ruthless and wicked Drac.

I wonder who’d win if we did a poll. Anyway, I think I’ll vote for Louis Jourdan. He underplays the role, so he may not seem as memorable at first as Lugosi or Lee, but he exudes a magnificent sense of menace and condescension.

I do like a thread with bite He probably wasn't the best Dracula ever but Frank Langella gave a dammed fine performance.

Luke Evans. Just kidding. Gary Oldman is my favorite.

Lugosi is the only Dracula .. the rest are all talented imitators ... some VERY talented ! Similar to Elvis and his clones Lugosi owns Dracula IMO. Best performance? Arguable on many levels. Scariest? Probably not. Yet Lugosi matters. He put his stamp on the role, as Karloff did with the Frankenstein monster later the same year. The identification of both actors with these characters was a mixed blessing. Karloff, in his later years, came to accept it. Lugosi came to identify with the character in his final years,--there was always a bit of that, it seems, in all his ghoulish and vampire roles--yet Lugosi, in bad shape physically and mentally, came to identify with the Count more than was healthy for him.

Charles Macaulay was a fine low budget Dracula (in BLACULA). Evil and loving it.
PS I think Lugosi's best Dracula was in A and C Meet Frankenstein. He was creepy and evil there, not just a sinister Valentino.
Abbott: "Dracula must return to his coffin at sunrise, where he lies helpless during the day". That's the bunk!
Costello: That's what I'm trying to tell you - that's HIS BUNK!!!

Christopher Lee / Gary Oldman
Two different but equally great interpretations of the character.
