Bill Barr has got it all wrong. Them guys don't need the immoral liberal secularists to turn this nation into a bastion of corrupt assholes. They scandalize themselves daily.

Well, as another post said, he IS a Man Of God. so I am assuming that her tight tank top, bare middle, unbuttoned shorts revealing the tops of her pubes, and her bare legs are not going to even be noticed by this spiritual man who is only worried that people might think he has alcohol in his glass. I sure he is only thinking of how he would like to lie down, uh, I mean, kneel down in prayer with this young woman. A friend! Only a friend!

Did you ever see the movie "Leap of Faith" with Steve Martin and Deborah Winger? It shows the insincerity, graft, greed, et al of Evangelists. The end kinda sucks, alluding that the fake faith healer Jonas Nightingale may have become a believer, when 'real' miracles start to happen... a kid regains use of his leg, and rain that ends a drought. But the exposure of the tricks of tent revivalists is based on the real experience of a former tent revivalist. www.imdb.com/title/tt0104695/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0I grew up in an evangelical church, and it took years for me to realize what a con most of it is. It's brainwashing, and I decided to use my brain instead of washing it. I still think back and ask myself, how could I not see what they were doing? Because they isolate you from reality. Ooops, my Dad sent me to a state college... should have forked over the big bucks to go to a religious college. He realized his mistake as I became increasingly agnostic and favored fact over faith. I lost my faith but found my brain. Edit: one of my favorite exchanges in the movie, between a cop and a con man...

I lost my faith but found my brain. Good for you. Much the same happened to me but at an evangelical religious college. It took almost the entire 4 years for me to come to grips with what I was experiencing, but when I graduated, I was out of there and out of evangelical Christianity.

UPDATE: Friday, August 7, 2020
From NBC News:
Jerry Falwell, Jr. announced Friday he's taking an indefinite leave of absence from his leadership positions at Liberty University, the school his father founded in 1971.The institution said in a statement that its executive committee requested that he take leave indefinitely from his roles as president and chancellor. The school said he agreed, "effective immediately."
The move follows his latest controversy — a photo he posted to his Instagram from a vacation in which his shirt was up and he was holding a glass of dark liquid. The image showed him standing next to a woman and his pants appeared to be unzipped.
He deleted the post and apologized.
Speaking to WLNI talk radio in Lynchburg, Virginia, where the university is located, Falwell said the woman in the photo was pregnant and the jeans he was wearing didn't fit, leading to an awkward image. "I had on a pair of jeans I hadn’t worn in a long time, so I couldn’t get mine zipped either," he said. "I just put my belly out like hers."He apologized, however, for embarrassing the woman in the photo by posting it. He identified her only as his wife's assistant. "I apologized to everybody," Falwell told the station.
U.S. Rep. Mark Walker, R-North Carolina, a former Liberty instructor, said on Twitter Thursday that Falwell's "ongoing behavior" was "appalling." "I'm convinced Falwell should step down," he said. On Friday he applauded the university for making "the right call" in requesting Falwell take leave. "Liberty is such an important institution to our nation, our next generation of leaders & faith," the congressman said on Twitter.
The university's statement did not address the matter directly. Falwell also had to apologize in June for posting a photo on Twitter of someone in blackface.
And in May, Reuters reported that Falwell once sought the help of Michael Cohen, former personal attorney of President Donald Trump, to destroy private photographs he did not want revealed to the world.
Liberty University is one of the world's largest evangelical Christian institutions.
