i'm pretty disappointed in the usual suspects i'm disappointed with in the Phils -
hoskins - .158
kingery - .100
quinn - .182 (thankfully girardi is giving haseley time)
segura - .182
and i know it's incredibly early - i fear Cutch may be done - batting .056
it's early - but looks like i'll have to settle for a sixers and flyers championship this year and there will be no Phils parade

Nice to see Polanco show a pulse. The entire Pirates outfield has been terrible so maybe this can give them something of a shot in the arm. I've always had a soft spot for the Buccos.

Giants going for a split on the road, scoreless after 5 last time I checked. No Yaz in the lineup. 😡😡😡 I was going to say, why the hell would you sit one of the team's best bats. Hell, just DH him if you want to give him a day off, but I looked and he's 2 for his last 17 after tearing the cover off the ball before that. Maybe a day off isn't the worst idea, although 17 ABs is hardly a "slump" worth getting nervous over.

Oddly enough, lots of Giants/Rockies games at Coors Field are low-scoring. You don't get as many 13-11 games with these two teams, for some reason. Coors is usually a house of horrors for the Giants. |

Though he did have a double in his last at bat last night. Kapler is trying to figure out different lineups with this team. The Giants are in a weird place, a team with young talent but still with veterans from the championship days who may have or haven't overstayed their welcome. |
