It looks like Halloween is going to be cancelled this year because of COVID. The orchards aren't even doing their festivals this year. It's the responsible thing to do because of COVID, especially since kids are getting sick, but damn, this is a boring year.
My coworker has 3 kids similar to my grandkids in age, and we might have a little party for them so they can still wear their costumes and get hyped-up on candy. What would be some good Halloween movies or TV for 3, 4 and 6 year-olds? I was thinking Beetlejuice but then thought it might be too scary. I was thinking the Alice Cooper episode of the old Muppet Show?

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown worked for me at that age (and it still does).

Yikes, that young? See, ordinarily I'd recommend something like The Gate or even Ghostbusters which I watched when very young, but they scared me quite a bit. It's not always bad to introduce kids to material that scares them but you don't want to traumatize them. You might want to go for something like a Garfield special. Maybe A Nightmare Before Christmas?

Not technically a Halloween movie, but how about Spirited Away?

I’ve always found Fantastic Mr. Fox to be a good fall movie, not necessarily Halloween though. I bet the kids would like that one.

Beetlejuice CARTOONS!
Garfield's Halloween Adventure
As much as I love The Halloween Tree, I'm not sure how preschoolers would take to it, I was 7-8 when I saw it for the first time. You could always screen it yourself first and pass your own judgment on it.
Spooky Buddies
Can't go wrong with Scooby Doo. Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf, Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School, Scooby Doo Meets the Boo Brothers.
Daffy Duck's Quackbusters

I saw Scooby Doo on Zombie Island around that age and loved it.
There was this 90s movie called Under Wraps about a kid and his mummy friend. I remember liking it at that age as well.

It's the responsible thing to do because of COVID, especially since kids are getting sick, but damn, this is a boring year.Concerns over COVID-19 are now stretching even further into the holiday season... a Christmas Tree lighting ceremony in a nearby town, to where I live, has already been cancelled. The tree will still be there and lit, but there will be no public hoopla with it... Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years... Groundhog Day?, ETC... I guess we should expect any public gathering traditions, concerning our holiday season this year, to go "Poof"... In fact, I have to wonder, if " the powers that be", will try to stop citizens from having holiday parties and family reunions this year.. Much like the L.A. Mayor saying he's authorizing the city to shut shut off water and power to places that host Large gatherings...
